We had a great stay here. Our room was absolutely huge and so quiet at night. Breakfast was a delicious buffet (sweet and savoury) with some of the best coffee I had in Pelion and the option to order eggs as well. The hotel's terrace on the sea front was lovely for an evening drink and direct access to the sea for a swim. There were only a handful of sun loungers (just infront of the cafe area) but they were rarely all taken. The location is great for exploring Pelion - Kala Nera is a busy seaside resort with plenty of choice of restaurants and bars and a beach with umbrellas etc a little further along from the hotel. Plenty of parking on the sea front or in side roads behind the hotel. Lovely stay in a great hotel - we will be back!

The room was excellent as were the staff. The location at the edge of the main area of Kala Nera meant that everything was close by without having too much noise. We will definitely use Minelska if we stay in Kala Nera again.

Loved this hotel, right on the water and very luxurious. We had a suite room which was more than enough space. Excellent breakfast in the morning. Would recommend for somebody looking for a change from the Athens/Thessaloniki hustle and bustle.

I've been to many nice hotels and met many nice hosts, but this hotel is simply awesome. A small building, next to the sea shore (quite common for Greece - there is a small local street between the hotel and the sea). We had a room on the first floor with a nice big terrace with a sea view. The room itself was big. In fact it was sort of an appartement with a bedroom at the entrance, bathroom in the middle and the living room at the end, by the terrace. Everything clean and nicely arranged. The breakfast was delicious. The Greek coffee was very tasty (if you are not into Greek coffee, the hosts can prepare whatever you want), home-made pastry was breathtaking. One day we were in the mood for a breakfast in the room (on the terrace) and it was not a problem to take whatever we wanted and eat it there. Whatever request we made, the answer was always the same: no problem with a smile :) I highly recommend this hotel. In its neighborhood you can find several tavernas with delicious Greek food and equally nice service. The area around is beautiful (e.g. you can enjoy a ride with the oldest train in Greece or go to Volos, which is also a nice city), so you will not get bored.

In the last decade, for our summer family holidays, we are trying to find small boutique hotels with as less rooms as possible as we are desperately trying to avoid the crowd. And Minelska hotel came to be as we expected, small beautifully renovated hotel with only 6 rooms, just few steps from the sea. The room that we booked had a nice sea view with a huge terrace. The room was spacious enough for my wife, me and our 12-years old daughter. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were just fine (this comes from a person that brings his pillow from home whenever he can). The rooms were very clean, as everything else in Mineska. There were 2 separate A/C units in the apartment. It is obvious that they had problem with internet access in the past as the hotel area was covered with 3 Wi-Fi access points. Just in front of the hotel there is a café bar where you can have your breakfast. The breakfast is mostly homemade, high in quality. From the bar you can directly enter the sea, which makes the bar a place where you can spend the whole day as they will provide you with sunbeds. If you are looking for some astonishing beaches, then you have to cross over on the other side of the peninsula. Your host Georgia will give you a lot of information about everything you need, but here are some information from our experience. The beaches on the west side of the peninsula (where the hotel is) are more child friendly, but we didn’t find anything worth spending a day. On the eastern side, where the open sea is, our favorite beach was Potistika. It is organized, with sunbeds on the beach, and a lovely café bar just above the beach. There is also a good restaurant above the café bar, so according to us, it is a perfect beach to spend the whole day. The only negative side of every beach on the eastern side is that they are very deep from the beginning and very often with big waves. Milopotamos is also very beautiful beach, but smaller, and can be crowded. There are a lot of small villages worth visiting, despite the narrow mountain roads. Here are my favorites: Makrinitsa with an astonishing view of Volos, especially in the night, Milies which is just few km from the hotel, Tsagkarada that is above the Milopotamos beach and Argalasti, placed in the middle of the south part of the peninsula. But have something warm to wear if you go for dinner, even in the middle of the summer. And last, but not the least, Gorgia and everybody else working in the hotel gave their best for us to have a memorable holiday, and we are grateful for that.
