Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our cabin was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The heater worked VERY WELL; I had to get up in the middle of the night to let some of the heat out. My wife and I came to do a snowmobile trip, but the weather was not cooperative. We spent a good deal of time in the that rustic cabin getting to know each other again. No snowmobile ride, but still great memories. The main resort cabin is a very homey. The staff, food, and onsite micro-brew are top-notch. The porter was the bomb; drink your fill and stagger back to your cabin. Nothing but good things to say about this place. We're definitely going back Just one very small thing to know: If you're going to have coffee in your cabin, bring your own.

Property's Favourite Review
Family of seven - first time visitor to Maine and to Northern Outdoors. The purpose of our visit was to ride the trails (side by sides). We stayed for 6 nights. I started planning this trip in February 2023. I found Northern Outdoors via a Google search. From my very first inquiry to my very last every single communication I initiated (and there were many) was handled in the most timely and professional manner. Thanks to Zoe, Brandi, and Beth. We stayed in the 4 bedroom/2 bath Tamarack Northwoods cabin. Its location, as are all accommodations on the property, offers direct trail access. The cabins amenities are as listed on the web site. There were a few items missing buy the staff responded appropriately. We had one maintenance issue during our stay and it was resolved quickly and professionally. The only negative comments I can offer are: 1. There were no grill utensils. 2. The housekeeping upon arrival was not up to our expectations. We had to clean coffee grounds out of the coffee pot and a pile of melted cheese off of the bottom of the oven. 3. The beds were uncomfortable but you come to expect this when staying in this type of accommodation. None of these issues were show stoppers. Recommendation - before making your reservation reach out to the staff and get all of your questions answered. They are the best! The more you know the better you can plan and you can minimize the surprises upon arrival. The lodge has plenty of offerings to keep everyone active. They are listed on the web site and are all top notch! Every staff member we encountered treated us like we were their only customer. If you're looking for a first-class getaway...don't hesitate to book at Northern Outdoors.

Hi Bill! Zoë here :) Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We really appreciate the detail you've put into this - every piece of feedback helps. I'm happy to hear that, overall, you and your crew had a great stay with us and an amazing first time in Maine. From ATVing, hanging out around the main lodge, and getting to know our staff, it sounds like good times were had all around. My apologies that a few aspects of your cabin fell short. Your notes have been passed on to our housekeeping team to ensure this isn't a recurring issue, and we thank you for bringing it to our attention. I'll be sure to pass on your gratitude to Beth and Brandi, too. Hope we see you guys again soon!

This is a true honest review. I was planning a bachelor part there the last weekend of February into March. Everything was a go until a few days prior when there was a massive rain storm and some of the warmest temps in years. It melted all the snow and our snowmobile trip was cancelled. Worried if we should keep the cabin rental or not, well we did and the staff made it the most enjoyable weekend ever. Dan the bartender and Sadie the server treated us like royalty. The main lodge was super clean, fire place going, nice hot tub and the general vibe was amazing.

The cabin space was great, the pillows weren't great as they were too stiff for me (bring your own), the staff was awesome, and the pub and amenities were near perfect! The snowmobiling rental access was very convenient. I had a great time and would love to come back!

Thanks for leaving a glowing review! Great to hear you had a fantastic snowmobiling trip with us, and enjoyed your cabin stay, sled rentals, and spending time with us up at the lodge! We're sorry the pillows were too stiff for your taste - it's hard to find that perfect balance. Thank you again for the feedback and we look forward to seeing you again!

Five star everything! Completely blown away from our experience. Have to try for yourself! Have no worries, you’re in good hands. Clean rooms, great food and drinks and fast sleds! We enjoyed the Hottub with a cocktail and a great meal, then settled back into our cozy cabin. Can not wait to go back!

The place was clean and accommodating for snowmobiling . Plenty of safe parking with a trailer. The food and cabins were great. The only issue we had was that they would only operate the GAS pump from 9 am to 5pm. This was very inconvenient. We would go back again

Thanks for leaving a review! We're happy to hear you had a great snowmobiling trip to the Forks and enjoyed your stay with us. We totally hear the desire for more expansive gas pump hours, our biggest issue is consistently having enough staff outside of these hours that could go outside to man the pump. But, your point is noted! See you next time :)

The new Split units installed in the Logdominium made it very comfortable temperature wise. Although the bathroom towels are white, they look stained. There should be at least new dishes sponges provided in order to wash dishes. Dishes liquid soap provided but no sponges. The beds are decent but the sofa is uncomfortable to sleep on.

Hi there! We appreciate you leaving a 5 star review for your stay at Northern Outdoors, as well as leaving feedback about what could have made your stay even better. I will pass on your message to our housekeeping team to review the condition of our towels, but I do want to note that we stock off-white/light tan towels to better match our rustic style. Also, in an effort to support both cleanliness and sustainability, we stock each accommodation with a kitchen dish cloth (separate from the hand towel) instead of a sponge for dish washing. Sponges must be discarded and replaced between each guest, whereas dish clothes can be washed and sanitized, making them a clean and reusable solution. It's great to hear the new heating units had a positive impact on your stay! We've been very excited to introduce that renovation this winter. We hope to see you again in the future!

The house is a very nice. But the bed and the bedding are very outdated. That would be nice if the owner can replace the mattresses and provide fresh pillows. staff was very helpful. This is the second year that we’re using same Property. 20 one rentals I am Amazing. Second time we’re getting absolutely almost new machines with no problems whatsoever..
