The moment I opened the door to my tent, I knew I was going to enjoy this stay. Everything was clean, neat and as inviting as the personnel on the grounds. I immediately opened the velcro-locked flaps to let in the light and sounds from all around (close this when you leave as downpoars can happen without warning). There's a...

The Limpopo Forest tented Camp is located in the western part of the reserve in a forest. The trees surrounding the tented camp is something to experience, with massive old trees giving enough shade in the heat of the day. The bird life is in abundance and music to the ears. The tents is perfectly spaced to give you that feeling...

The tented camp is lovely with great showers, nice bedding and a well-equipped kitchen. A fence surrounds the front of each unit to keep the baboons out which is a pity as the view from the chalet is not great. The fences from farms which have been incorporated into the park have not been taken down as yet. This has...

The tent was nice but needed airing as soon as we got in. It is a large canvas tent on a wooden deck. Mesh and canvas flap windows. There is no heating or cooling, and it was bitterly, bitterly cold. We were nice and warm to start with, but then froze a few hours later. (No one at check in...

Stayed here for 2 nights as all other accomodation in Mapingubwe was fully booked between Christmas and New Years. We had a large Safari style tent, with kitchen area, fridge/freezer, sink, crockery, glasses etc... There was a bedroom area seperated by a mosquito net from the Kitchen/Dining area. This had 2 single beds and a large ceiling fan ounted above....

“The camp is so small (8 tents) that you will never be bothered by lots of traffic. There's no river within view.”

“We stayed in Tent 4 which is the first room you get to when you drive in. If you want more quiet, avoid 4. It did not bother us though, as there are only a few rooms/tents and not may people.”

“DOnt go cheap here. Choose a good room in the park, you may thing you are saving on the room but with the 35min drive each way at least once a day, you'll probably spend more in fuel than splashing for a better room.”
