We stayed in Bryn Derw for 5 nights, it’s a 6 bed property just outside Caernarfon and is owned by the same people as Ty Mawr Farm. Bryn Derw is a modern house and has been recently decorated to a high standard. The house was immaculate when we arrived and Jane had left a selection of treats for us which were so good! The detached house is in an ideal location and there are some nice footpaths nearby, it’s close to Caernarfon town and there is plenty to do whether you are a family with children or a couple. The house is homely, comfortable and peaceful. Would love to return in the near future, we had a great time, diolch i Jane and co.!

Outstanding. We wanted for nothing. Comfortable furniture, wonderful queen size bed. All the home comforts and a lovely table full of baked treats from Jane. We can't praise her enough for her hospitality. Sheep looking through fence every morning. Brilliant.

We stayed in beudy Bach, A 2 bedroom barn conversion and enjoyed it immensely, We only had to bring our personal things as everything was supplied down to tea towels , the owner even left a welcome pack for our first night & made sure we knew how to set heating to what ever temperature we required,a very pleasant change from most self catering!! (And we weren't required to strip beds on leaving ,as at some places we've stayed recently) The farm is best if you have your own transport as the farm is at least 4 miles from Bangor, and half mile from nearest bus stop down country roads, Beudy Bach was excellent & we really enjoyed our stay , One advantage of being out in country side ( it's a working farm!) Is you don't get caught up in busy traffic around Bangor when you go out for day trips, It's great for Snowdon, port Merion,, Anglesey, etc Biggest problem it's nearly always booked!!!

This was my family’s second time stopping at Ty Mawr farm, this time spending the week in Hendre cottage. Jane the owner is a wonderful host, always on hand if you need anything and thank you so much for the cakes left on the table for us, they were very welcome after a long journey. Hendre has rustic charm in abundance and is deceptively large inside, equipped with everything you need for a weeks stay, being able to wash and dry our clothes after muddy walks was very beneficial. The farm itself looks over the Snowdon Mountain range, it was stunning to watch the sunrise at this time of year. The farm is perfectly located to explore North Wales, Anglesey, Caernarfon, Llanberis, Betws y coed are not too far away and of course for thrill seekers Zip World is also in the area. We had a fantastic week and were very sad to return home.

A beautiful rural retreat, set within the shadow of Wales's Snowdonia mountain range with Caernarfon, LLanberis, Bangor, Llandudno all within a 30min drive. Jane the owner was fantastic, friendly and greeted us with a lovely array of homemade cakes and pastries for a high tea as we didn't arrive till late afternoon. As we where staying within the B&B and not the cottages we were shown to our rooms (1 and 2) by Jane where she then left us to settle in. The rooms are spacious, very comfy beds with all the amenities you need a mini fridge in each room and tea/coffee making facilities. After unpacking we headed back down into the living room area (this is a communal area) with a log fire, TV etc. Now, I've saved the best till last! - The breakfast!...the full English (Welsh) is simply out of this world! It's a must! It sets you up for the day! The only downside to this beautiful place is the very limited phone signal, as its a very rural setting, there is WiFi within the B&B but this can be hit and miss. Would I recommend it, Yes! Within a heartbeat. We are going back next year!

An excellent farmhouse break, superbly looked after by Jane. She welcomed us with a selection of home baked savoury and sweet freshly baked treats, and looked after our needs throughout our stay. The farm is in a good location for getting about and is easy to find. The ensuite bedroom was spacious with lovely views and all the comforts of top accommodation, and you were made to feel at home from arrival to departure. Positives - everything. Negatives - leaving on departure day. We will be going back to Ty Mawr, sooner rather than later.

A weekend of photography with a friend. Llanberis was full, but Jane at Ty Mawr Farm House had 2 rooms available. The b&b is only a 15 min drive from the town, set in a quiet location, with fields of cows and sheep surrounding the farmhouse. A warm welcome was had, with tea, Welsh cakes and home made scones on arrival...delish! Good size rooms, comfy beds, lovely cooked breakfast, it was a great find.

My family and I (4adults) stayed for dinner for one week 10th Oct - 17th We have had numerous cottage holidays in Uk and this is probably the best equipped and comfortable accommodation we have stayed. Jane the farmers wife and host greeted us with a full table of goodies, sausage rolls, a homemade cake, Welsh cakes and more. The. Cottage was immaculate with a log burner, which was set ready to light and a basket of logs. Our whole experience was a delight and Jane has to be the most generous of hosts you are likely to meet 10 out 10

Jane made us feel welcome even in these difficult times. We stayed in the Hafod self catering cottage and loved everything about the accommodation. The facilities were great and the location rural but easy to quickly get to places . It is on our "must return to " list .

On a holiday in the area, my brother and I spent a beautiful, sunny day playing a round of golf at the stunning Tyddn Mawr golf course. The course was at times challenging but always interesting. The owner was very welcoming and had clearly designed the course with great care. We were given a guided tour of the course before we started which was very helpful because some of the holes shared a tee. The views are exceptional, particularly the view of the Snowdon range. We have no regrets at all playing this course, and would be eager to do so again. Our genuine thanks and appreciation go to the owner and their family for the hard work maintaining the estate and caring for guests.
