The Mill at Fearn Farm is a spacious, flexible self-catering unit. The new build consists of 2 units, one sleeping 4 and the other sleeping 10 with double internal doors which open to make it one large sociable space. The beds can be made up as twins or Super kings with lovely quality bed linen. Both ends have wood-burning stoves and there is a complimentary supply of firewood. Both ends have sliding glass doors on to private patios. The Mill is on a working beef, sheep and cereal farm and there are animals in the field next door. We are just 5 minutes off the A9 and the North Coast 500 route. Easter Ross has several great beaches within 5-10 minutes drive from The Mill, ideal for families and dog walkers. We also have several great Golf Courses within 20 minutes drive, including Royal Dornoch, Tain, Portmahomack, Alness and Invergordon and we are within an hour of Castle Stuart and many many more fabulous courses. There is a wealth of historical sites to see and explore, Pictish stones, Abbeys, Castles and WW2 buildings.

We’ve just returned from a week in The Mill end and we were very impressed with the accommodation. The house is huge with an open plan kitchen and living area, big bedrooms all with en-suites and the entire house was furnished to a very high standard. It is very well equipped for a big group and we made full use of all the kitchen appliances and the bbq outside. Our dog enjoyed running around in the large garden area as well.

The location is also very good and was easy to find. There are supermarkets and takeaways nearby in Tain. We visited different places on the NC500 route during our stay. The views in the highlands are stunning and I would highly recommend driving up along the east coast towards John O’Groats.

The photos do not do this house justice - it is beautiful and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at the Wee End for a family holiday and what a stunning place it is. It accommodates 4 people and is spacious and very comfortable, when we arrived we were greeted to a exceptionally clean and welcoming place to stay, the welcome basket was an additional treat with local produce. All of the rooms have sliding doors out into the enclosed patio area where you have views of tups and cows in their field. There was a gas BBQ which we used and a fire pit which was great for the chilly nights and plenty of seats. There is a local shop 10 mins walk in Fearne Village where they sell a wide range of produce but be careful as there are no pavements. There is plenty to do in the area within an hours drive whether it’s Fort George outside Inverness to Dunrobin Castle to the North. Overall this was a fabulous holiday and will be highly recommending to all.

WOW, have just returned from spending a week here with family and friends for our sons wedding. The house has absolutely everything you could wish for, beautifully furnished with stunning bedrooms and fantastic lounge areas and outside space too. Great location and great base for exploring the surrounding areas, we visited Tain,Dornoch and the beautiful seaside towns of Embo and Portmahomack, also a short trip across on the ferry to Cromarty where you will find some lovely wee gift shops and Coffee shops. Would absolutely recommend this gorgeous, luxurious holiday house.

We just returned to the US after a family reunion in Scotland. Covid had kept us apart for over three years and it was important to us to stay close to family. I cannot say enough good things about our stay at The Mill at Fearn Farm. We rented both the Big End and the Wee End, The communication with Fiona from the first enquiry was fantastic. She provided answers to my questions and solutions to our needs. When we arrived, there was a fabulous welcome pack waiting for us with essentials to get us started. The home was immaculate and well stocked - we had a very large group and there were plenty of dishes, cutlery and glassware for everyone. Every room has it's own bathroom which was a huge plus for us. The house is beautifully decorated and is just so comfortable. There is a patio and garden area which was excellent for the children and the weather cooperating meant that we were able to spread out and take advantage of the outdoor areas. The houses are on a working farm so we got to see the animals being moved from field to field and the kids got to see the cows and sheep close up. You definitely need a car here but the beaches of Shandwick and Portmahomack are so close. Great stay and we will be back if they will have us! We were probably a bit noisy at times:)

We stayed here for 1 week, using both houses. It's beautifully decorated, with lovely touches and is very comfortable for a large group. We were really impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was, with plenty dishes and cutlery etc for the number of guests to cook and eat with. The house is really well located for exploring this corner of Scotland, we loved the beaches in particular.

We had a fabulous Christmas at The Mill Fearn. We thoroughly reccommend staying there. A hugh thank you to Fiona for making our stay so welcoming, starting with the excellent welcome pack full of local produce and Christmas decorations for the festive season. We had a family gathering so having the Mill End and Wee End interlocking was brilliant and so convenient.
Everything about our stay was exceptional, the attention to detail, quality and of course the location.

The Wee End was absolutely perfect. Extremely well equipped, clean and modern. The outdoor area attached is huge and the fact that there are Highland Cows right there just made the trip that more incredible, along with the wood fire. The Wee End is really big and the welcome pack provided so much information to really help you make most of the area. Cannot recommend enough and have already begun planning our return visit!

We stayed at The Wee End for a week. The house was perfect for us and our dog. The house is beautifully furnished, is spotless and has everything you need. Some of the furnishings are made locally. It is on a working farm so you look out of the window at sheep and Highland Cows. We found it a good base for exploring the area. There are some lovely beaches and forest walks nearby.

We enjoyed a very comfortable week at The Wee End. It is modern, well furnished & equipped, and spotlessly clean. Fiona gave us a friendly welcome and we were delighted with the complimentary hamper. We enjoyed watching the farm animals surrounding the property and there is a lovely, large, patio, which is a perfect outdoor space. It was a great base for our walking expeditions and visits throughout the Easter Ross and Sutherland areas.

What a beautiful house.Walked in the door to a beautiful floral display and the best welcome pack we have ever had with local produce. It is very tastefully designed and decorated with real attention to detail Unfortunately we couldn't put on the woodburning stoves as both the properties were lovely and cosy!! Hardly a complaint! The house is next to the road but has a very good fenced in garden for kids and dogs. We had both the big and wee hoose as we were a party of 14 and we had plenty of space.
Beds were very comfortable and great showers with good water pressure Lovely spacious rooms.
Great to have downstairs bedroom for the 90 year old in our party who can't manage stairs. Great places to visit nearby.
We had a lovely holiday in a beautiful property.
