Coombe View Camp and Caravan Site is situated in beautiful East Devon, and a great basic camp site from which to explore the Jurassic Coast and countryside. This is the perfect place to escape the trappings of modern life, and immerse yourself in country life. Apart from the usual toilet, shower, washing up facilities, We do provide free Wifi which covers most of the camp site and a communal freezer, and there are a limited number of electric hook ups, but if you want traditional basic farm camping this is the place for you! Spacious camping fields, camp fire sites, clear uncluttered skies and views over magnificent countryside and sea.

This was a beautiful site with so much promise, but we started to think Sid James and Barbara Windsor would pop up at anytime! The owner (Trevor?) was very pleasant if somewhat eccentric and was helpful selecting a suitable space for our tent with regard to predicted windy weather. But it has to be said the toilet and shower facilitaties are below even basic standards. As we were in a tent we relied on these as our only option. They are not even good enough for pre-covid times. A packet of wet wipes proved to be very useful to maintain our own personal hygiene. I know some people have said the facilities are clean but it makes me wonder about other campers’ standards? The toilets have cobwebs with dead insects that increased daily, demonstrating no cleaning was taking place at all. The showers had long hairs in the shower trays and the stool provided was rusty. I had just one shower mid-afternoon and you really have to be good to stand on one leg in order to prevent your clothes from touching the wet dirty floor.

Spent two nights at this awful campsite. The facilities are dire to say the least, with little or no noticeable cleaning regime. The showers were housed in what can only be described as an insect invested sheds with poor lighting, minimal hanging provision and poor drainage. To cap it all, the local hunt drove their horse boxes and vehicles to the far end of the campsite at 7am earlier today, then proceeded to ride through the entire site with a pack of hounds with total disregard for the campsite clientele !! UNBELIEVABLE.......don’t even consider this site, there are plenty better nearby.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at coombe view farm. We have a tourer, unfortunately the sat nav took us down locksley Lane, which was the wrong turning which led us down a very very narrow unsuitable road. Beware to have a good look on the map so you take correct turning. Beautiful site with amazing views and very convieniant to visit beer, Branscombe, Seaton etc. Can walk to Branscombe beach 4 miles, very steep but lovely walk. BUT the toilets and showers really let this site down! They are awful, dirty, old, wooden shacks full of cobwebs etc. I have visited several sites and these are worst I have ever seen. We were fine as had our own! But if in a tent beware! Also strangely the owner was constantly driving up and down the site!! Bizarre!

We stayed for 2 nights - great site - really helpful and welcoming owner - facilities are basic but they were clean and covid-regulations seemed to be in place. Views down to the sea, lovely and quite, no rules about pitch sizes so we could spread out, firepits allowed if off the ground. About a mile walk down a very steep hill to Branscombe. We did a fantastic walk to Branscombe, on to Beer and then back to Branscombe - 8.5 miles in total - but so beautiful. Hope to be back next year.

Great little place. Inexpensive, basic facilities and a cracking view. Have had 3 long weekends camping this summer camping, preferable to a hotel or flying. Owner friendly and helpful. Would go back.
