Desert Inn San Ignacio – Room 106, May 22, 23, two nights. This hotel was formerly named La Pinta and is on Trip Advisor as both names with 2 different rates. It has not been a La Pinta hotel since 2010. We felt this hotel was the best choice in town after we checked them all. Surprisingly, this property is...

The Desert Inn is a very good value, modern-ish, hotel, if a little noisy from the street traffic at night. From the outside, the hotel looks unattractive and somewhat drab. However, on the inside, the hotels appears as a Mexican villa with a nice desert garden, a central area around the bedrooms with a nice swimming pool. The food menu...

We stayed at the Desert Inn one night in February 2016 on our way from whale watching in San Ignacio Lagoon to Loreto Airport. The hotel is nice and clean. The room we got had lots of space and beds were OK. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the service was efficient. Food is fairly basic Mexican...

Great hotel in the midle of a palm trees oasis. Nice option if you're in San Ignacio although is not the cheapest... One thing I would improve is the internet connection, wi-fi is just available in the lobby

The food was hit and miss some was great others were poor. The service was appalling by the time he last person was served the majority had finished there meal. Our group had been booked in advance and our guide used to work here but that didn't help. Wi fi only worked in the lobby but was free

My husband and I were headed to the lagoon for whale watching with Kuyima Ecotours in February 2016. We checked out Trip Advisor and saw that this place for a #1 location in San Ignacio. Granted there are only 4 or 5 hotels in the area. This one is very nice, clean, safe, and quiet. We flew into Loreto airport,...

We took the evening bus from Santa Rosalia to the drop-off on Highway #1 for San Ignacio and walked the short distance to the Desert Inn. We were given a newly renovated room, which was spotless, with 2 queen sized beds, beautifully but not luxuriously appointed. Lots of hot water, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and even a sewing kit! The...

San Ignacio Springs B&B was closed for the summer so we gave Desert Inn a try. It is the standard Fonatur hotel, that were built in the late 60s. It was nicely updated and the staff was helpful and fast. We were the only guests at the hotel. We did not try the restaurant so cannot report the food. The...
