We traveled the Cabot Trail with another couple and had a quick stopover in Pleasant Bay at the Poplar B&B. Great place -- clean, cute & friendly! The bedrooms were a little tight on space but suited our purposes just fine. We weren't there very long but found time to enjoy a nightcap on the front deck the night we...

We stayed one night at the end of the season. Great price, amazing bedroom, super hosts who suggested the BEST seafood we have ever eaten!! Awesome accommodations, 15-20 minute drive from the popular Skyline trail, plenty of look offs along the way. Don't blink! Or you'll miss it ❤️

I spent three nights here in early October, just before the fall colors were starting to peak. This B&B offers two private rooms in the main house, and a separate cottage. If you're in one of the rooms in the main house, you'll have a shared kitchen and sitting room space. My room itself was somewhat small -- it might...

Two very nice rooms, ours was in the front. Might be noisy during peak times but we were not disturbed. Host provided us with a discount coupon for a local restaurant and had a whale watching coupon if wanted. Pleasant Bay is a small community with limited services, but is worth the stop.

Brian and Elizabeth were so helpful in preparing our trip to Cape Breton and were the perfect hosts during our stay. Elizabeth waited on us at the Rusty Anchor[with excellent food choices]. Our room was cozy and adjoined the little kitchenette where breakfast was substantial. Toast, bagels, yogurt, cereal, juice and coffee. Elizabeth had recommended the whale watch which was...

We had initially rented a room however, the cottage became available, which we took. It was a medium sized cottage with a great feel to the place (it felt very homey). - The bed was very comfortable and the cottage was super clean - This cottage does have a kitchen area however, it was a bit tight (along with the...

This is a nice place to stay if you're doing a two-day swing through the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Nice accommodations and expert advice on what to see in the park. Strong Wi-Fi, deck outside and area inside to relax.

Morning breakfast had several choices and was wonderful break from restaurant food . Elizabeth had many suggestions on places to stop and see and they proved to be worthwhile....

We stayed at the little cottage that is separated from the main building. We needed to make our own breakfast but Brian stocked the shelves and fridge so well that even if our family was double the size everyone would still enjoy a satisfying breakfast. The cottage was tastefully decorated, very clean and well equipped. It was so comfortable we...
