What a lovely setting looking up at the mountains. The cabins were very clean and the staff extremely friendly. This motel does not have fridge etc but the staff gave us a ice to keep our food cool and it was no trouble to them. We ate at the restaurant and it was delicious. A really nice place to stay... I understand that the options for a nights sleep in this area are limited, that being said, someone has to do better than the Mountain View Inn is doing. The rooms are clean, but dated. The beds are saggy and uncomfortable. The towels are plentiful but scratchy. Our first night was very quiet and we slept well. On the second... More

I find some of the negative reviews strange because we only paid £75 for our night here which is a lot less than holiday inns or hamptons hotels, so what do people expect for that. Our room was clean and everything worked except the bug screens. There was a bit of a list to the floor which meant we sped... More

Hotel is ok but it's not worth the cost. Stayed in 2 single bed room. Amenities are old but clean. TV is small about 20+ inches AC is just a window unit. Could use an upgrade. JFYI although this has nothing to do with the hotel at this location there is no cell reception. Hotel has free wifi.

WIFI very slow/non-existent. Lots of pillows but no coffee maker. Coffee was available in the morning in the office. No fridge. Air conditioner needed freon so it was a white-noise-maker+fan. No light switch for the room - each light needs to be individually turned on and off. Rather outdated place but it worked for us. The two double beds were... More

If you are looking for a clean place just to spend the night recharging you're batteries, it is a good spot. Who need free wireless and all luxury when you have the cabot trail to explore? I was up around 9, would eat breakfast and come back around 10 in the evening. Shower and bedtime.

It is what it is. Very clean, very friendly. If you are looking for a Hilton, don't come to this part of the world. It is rustic and friendly and wonderful. No cell service in the area. Internet worked. Wish the cell providers would update the service in the area! A comfortable bed and a hot shower, good food., good... More

I was looking for clean accommodations and that is what I got. We stayed in the cottage. It was great. Wi-if was spotty. The restaurant wasn't that great and it was overpriced for what you got, but if we ever go back to Pleasant Bay, I would stay there again.

We checked into the Mountain View on August 3rd, 2016 The "office" is located in the restaurant. We were checked into Room 217. The WiFi did not have any connectivity. The towels were like sandpaper, the water pressure was a dribble. We had to use our own bottled water for teeth brushing and washing our face and hands. The beds... More
