I was looking into various locations to take my other half away for a short break. While there were many places to stay, I found that the majority of them were near main roads (not ideal for a quiet break) until I discovered Rose Walk Cottages. It's in a great location, not far from Stowe on the Wold (definitely worth a visit) and literally yards away from local pubs serving great food. One of the highlights is the overall feel of the cottage - I got the impression there'd been a lot of thought put into it. The rooms were clean, nice powerful shower, log fire in the lounge, plenty of heaters, blankets and a complimentary bottle of red. The owner of the cottages is friendly, courteous and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you happy with your stay. Overall, loved it. Highly recommend to all.

No 1 Rose Walk Cottages is the first in the row of 4, with its gable end next to the (extremely quiet!) road. The path directly in front of the cottages leads to the road although it is rarely used. Each cottage has its own allocated space in the car park. Entering into the cottage leads straight to the lounge/kitchen/dining room. Fresh flowers and red wine awaited us, a nice touch. The cottage is equipped to a high standard and includes everything 2 guests need, including washing up liquid, hand soap, dishwasher tablets etc. The lounge area has 2 windows overlooking walls, resulting in a dark room so lights are needed even during the daytime, but it also makes it look cosy. The crockery is lovely although it would be useful to have more of it so that the dishwasher can be used rather than needing to wash up after every brew or meal. The winding stairs (no handrail) lead directly to the bedroom, with bathroom off. The bedroom is well equipped with plenty of storage space and the shower is excellent. More than one towel each for a week is needed though, certainly for hygiene and especially as there are no laundry facilities in the cottage. There may be no mobile phone signal in the cottage, which also has WiFi. We were delighted with the good weather throughout our stay, but that meant it was too warm to use the wood burner! It will look so cosy on a cold autumn or winter’s day. Starter logs are provided. The location of the cottage is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds and is in a lovely, picturesque village.

Stayed for 4 nights over New Year’s Eve. Cottage is well situated - you’ll need a car to explore the area but it’s ideally located for all parts of the Cotswolds. Cottage itself is very clean with all the necessary facilities for cooking yourself. A wonderful log fire and burner for chilly evenings and a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. Sally was helpful throughout when making the booking and it’s easy to find with a sat nav. Highly recommend for couples exploring the area.

We recently stayed in Rose Walk 2 for five nights, along with friends who were unfamiliar with the Cotswolds. My husband and I had previously stayed in Rose Walk 1 back in 2010 and loved it. Rose Walk 2 was a brilliant base for the four of us. It is exceptionally well appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The complimentary bottle of wine to welcome us was much appreciated, and enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden in glorious sunshine. It was very tempting to just stay at the cottage whilst the weather was so good, but we enjoyed exploring Chipping Camden, Hidcote Manor Gardens, Moreton in Marsh, a walk around the stunning Slaughters and ventured further afield to Slimbridge. There is plenty of outdoor space to use disposable BBQs, although as the ones we bought failed to burn correctly, we can also vouch for the AGA as we had to resort to indoor cooking! We also ate twice at the Horse and Groom, five minutes away, plus walked down to The Fox at Lower Oddington. It is about a fifteen minute walk, but do remember to take a torch as there are few if any street lights between the two villages. The cottages are managed extremely well by Sally Gaden, emails are answered very promptly and efficiently, and, as she lives nearby, help is on hand should any problem arise. The Cotswolds are stunningly beautiful and consequently extremely busy at times. Rose Walk cottages provide a delightful oasis away from the hustle and bustle. We will most certainly return and cannot recommend them highly enough.

A wonderful cottage in oddington, this is the place to relax. If you want a quality getaway from the norm then this is THE PLACE. The surrounding villages and walks only add to the quality of a couple of days spent in Sallys cottage. We will be back for sure very soon.
