We thought we had booked a room with a kitchenette The description we read was " all-suite resort " and "the straightforward suites come with kitchenette" But when we got there we were told we had a standard hotel room and had to pay $20 a night extra in cash to get a kitchenette. But it was a reasonable place...

This is an aging resort whose strength is in its people. We got wonderfully attentive service from Fernando at the front desk, and our room attendant, Rocio, pampered us daily. It is convenient to have the restaurant on site, with a pretty varied menu. We didn't use it much, as we had a car, and we like to try different...

Booked a last minute getaway and was lucky this was available so I didn't have to break the bank. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Simple but nice accommodations in the main hotel area included a fridge. Supermarket is within walking distance as is the beach. Golf also close by. Only disappointment was water pressure in the shower which was...

Very comfortable, only one restaurant on site. Water you can't drink, need to buy big jugs just to make coffee. Big store nearby, but you need to drive because water is so heavy! Easy drive to "downtown" San Jose.

Very reasonably priced simple resort. Good food. Nice pool facilities. Room is quaint with tiled bath though not great water pressure on third floor. Typical Mexican hotel. Nice balcony with distant view of water

Quaint and quiet place away from the bustle of the hotele zone. Close to all the amenities. Staff is excellent. Restaurant is awesome and prices reasonable. Older place so dont expect a four star hotel. Needs upgrading but nothing really wrong. Will update more later.

The Park Royal is located at the beginning of Hotel Row in San Jose surrounded by the local nine hole golf course. This is an RCI affiliated resort that is poorly serviced by that time-share company. The hotel rooms, although advertised as having "kitchenettes", have no mini-fridge at all, nor did they offer microwaves in the hotel suites; in fact,...

The location is quite good, though not on a beach or water. No elevators. hard mattresses, lumpy pillows, fair food, unheated pool are negatives. If the place is crowded, getting comfortable seating around the pool can be a problem too.

This is an older property. With that said, it is clean and comfortable. The staff was great and very helpful when I was trying to make calls. We did not have a kitchen unit, however, we did see the one next to us. It was roomy, one bedroom and had a very serviceable kitchen. I did speak to the management...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The two small towns of San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas merely accent the southern peninsula, a unique natural landscape that needs to be experienced once in a lifetime. Connected by a 33 kilometer corridor, San José del Cabo is charming, traditional and the more creative "pueblito" while Cabo San Lucas offers everything brash, bold and Hollywood. Park Royal guests get easy access to both worlds in enormous apartment style suites in a self-contained resort setting. Of course, the entire Los Cabos area is at your fingertips. Guests arrive for more than 12 world famous golf courses, more beaches than you'll know what to do with and boat tours, whale tours, desert tours and trips to a landscape (and a seascape) unlike anything else you've ever experienced. ... more   less

“No toaster oven but 4 burners on stove. We were on first floor & it had nice quiet patio. TV had 2-3 English channels, only news was FOX.”

“We had booked two rooms, one Royal and one Ambassador. The Royal was on ground floor to accommodate our guests Room 116. This was next to restaurant so was easy access to food and pool. It was also protected from the loud music from wedding. Biggest drawback of the ground floor room was that even though patio area was large and clean the ants also seemed to enjoy as well. The Ambassador (Room 206) on second floor was very nice, except the bedroom faced directly toward golf course clubhouse. Needless to say, I did not enjoy being kept awake until 3 a.m., but it was only one night of our 2 week stay. Even though not all rooms had an iron and ironing board, one was supplied on request. They did phone the next day to pick it up.”
