Have just returned home after a fantastic 3 hours spent in the restaurant. 17 of us experienced gorgeous reasonably priced food, amazing service and relaxed environment. The ability to use the pool table pleased the youngsters. Would strongly recommend to any family group.

Just returned from our 3rd visit this year.firstly the reception staff greet you with a smile and friendly hello.Hard standing pitch spacious short mobility scooter ride to the beach. yes was dissappointed couldnt do fishing but that's not there fault.Toilets always cleaned couple times in day.Well stocked shop again friendly staff happy to help pack my shopping on my mobility scooter.Didn't use club entertainment so can't comment on that area of the park overall a very good holiday park booked for next year already.

Think it’s absolutely disgusting. Booked a holiday on a fishing lake and unfortunately fishing not allowed as pond closures due to something in the water. And not just me. People paid for the season too and no one has been offered a discount or refund of any kind. So no fishing on a fishing park. Ridiculous

Exactly the same happened to us as per previous review, I cannot explain how disappointed I am, my family has been visiting Waldergraves for years and year by year the management and staff have been getting worse and this tops it off will never return. Why take bookings without prior warning of what is happening only reason is money. A warning to all new bookings the facilities are there but expect a rude welcome, minimul security and drunks running wild with no control that's was my last experience of waldergraves

Absolute disgrace, 2 weeks before we are due to go camping I get a phonecall to say they have moved our pitches, a group of 5 families all together in a corner so we can have one big camp area, which we do twice a year, to be put in a row at the bottom of the touring pitch. Explained this wasn't going to work for us as we have communal kitchen area in the middle etc and asked to be moved elsewhere. Was told they couldn't as these were only the pitches left, but to be thankful as they left us together.....a group booking left together how kind of you! Moved all the other bookings but left a group until last. We go camping to enjoy family time, we play ball games in the middle of the touring field, I was told this was not available as they would be digging it up whilst we were there. So big machines digging up a field where we are supposed to be camping, asked where the kids are supposed to play and the response was in the playground. We have dogs and don't want to be confined to a small area where we can't play as a family. I was told if I didn't like it they would refund me but that was what was happening. One woman even said its tough if I don't like it. Staff are rude and didn't care that a group of 18 people and 5 dogs were being let down 2 weeks before booking. We made this booking back in May when we were there last, planing permission had been put in 2021 and approved in March of this year, so why book holidays if they knew this would be happening and expect people to be happy about work going on when the season is over in a few weeks anyway!! Staff here are just rude and don't care, even the bar staff were rude in May but we let this go as it suited us as we could do the things we wanted without having to worry about clubhouse etc. Will never return to Waldwgraves as they are just greedy and have no customer services whatsoever manager even made a point of saying they have a successful business so one booking was basically irrelevant to them, was then insulted by same manager saying its complicated and how I wouldn't understand the regulations of planning permission, asked about health and safety and was told I could check it out if I liked. Said I would be leaving a review to the affect of whats happened and was told sarcastically we'll look out for that then. Cannot explain how unhappy and sad we are at this type of behaviour espcaully after cominf here twice a year for years, no customer satisfaction. Would certainly not recommend. I would like to give 0 not 1 mark!!!

1st time on this side as a Motorhomer, we stayed 2 nights over the weekend. Our pitch was very spacious. The holiday park was well maintained. The facilities (restaurant, bar etc.) were very welcome. The staff are very friendly and professional. The pool was closed for the season, which was a shame as the weather was superb. The location is great, near the beach and not too far from the town and marina, 15min by bike. However, the toilets/showers could do with some updating and cleaning. There is no free WIFI and the 4g is very unreliable. Also some tourers were extremely loud until very late in the evening, especially on Friday night, there were lots of birthday celebrations and lots of drunk people about. There was no warden keeping an eye on what was going on. The following day was much quieter in the evening. Being a very busy holiday park, you can expect lots of noise and children running and cycling around. Will we go back? Probably but during the week if we can, for a more peaceful break.

Great site ! Brilliant band! This was the first time my wife and I stayed at the resort! The caravan had everything one needs and was very clean! The restaurant food was fantastic and the breakfast so big and tasty! But the icing on the cake was the entertainment in the evening! Rock pop band The Peppermint Apes were outstanding!!!! Such brilliant musicians ! Great sound and songs to suit everyone and they kept the dance floor packed! Must come back to stay at this brill resort again when this fantastic band returns!

We have just got home after 6 nights on the touring site in our 36ft American RV and looking at other reviews I must say that I don’t wholly agree, as from the moment I made the booking I found the staff very helpful and the same from when we arrived. The touring pitch is a fair distance from the bar and restaurant and that was a bit awkward for my wife as she’s getting over a chest infection and found it hard to walk too far, but on the occasion we did go up to the bar, we found it clean and very nice. The showers could maybe do with a little modernisation and maybe the ability to set the temperature, but I found them perfectly usable whenever you went into the toilets they were always clean and the staff always seem to be cleaning something on the site in general the site was really nice, we arrived out of the school holidays on the Monday and it was quite peaceful until Friday but then we expected it to get busy. We had our 2 year old German Shepherd with us who is not too keen on other dogs and got quite noisy. So we had to be cautious when taking him out for a walk. Although there are signs saying dogs must be kept on a lead some people didn’t bother and let them run free we did mention it and they sent a member of staff round to have a word but as new people arrived you couldn’t expect them to keep coming round and telling people. But on the hole we had a great time definitely be going back in the future highly recommended if you do have a large motorhome as they have some large pitches which are suitable the only thing that let it down for me was a couple of days before we arrived they had to close the fishing lakes due to a possible disease in the water as they found a few dead fish but that was out of their control.

Response from Waldegraves Park, Guest Services / Front Office at Waldegraves Holiday Park
Responded 25 Sept 2023
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your stay. We are delighted to hear you had a great holiday with us and that you'll be back for more. It is very unfortunate that our lakes have had to close for the time being, hopefully this will sort out the problem and we will be able to reopen them again soon. We are sorry you had some issues with other people not abiding by the rules with regards to keeping dogs on the lead and we really appreciate you bringing this to our attention so we could deal with it. We look forward to welcoming you back to Waldegraves in the future. Best Wishes Waldegraves Team

I'm sure there are many wonderful things that I could say about Waldegraves, the pool, the restaurant or the bar - which I'm sure were all lovely. Unfortunately we didn't use any of those. We were there on a touring pitch in our own caravan so the facilities we used were the pitch itself and the showers/toilets. The pitch was scruffy - the hedges were unkempt. The pitch was supposed to be hardstanding but it had bits of grassy type growing all over it. So it was neither hardstanding or grass. The pitches just looked un-cared for. Although the staff clearly "cleaned" the toilets several times a day, there were webs everywhere and the basically didn't seem to clean where they didn't think nobody would notice. Then there were the showers. Tired, roof windows covered in cobwebs. Those awful push button showers with no way to adjust the temperature. During our say the temperature during the day was 30 degrees - the showers were about 50 degrees - far to hot to be comfortable. And there was the stench! I'm blessed with a poor sense of smell and a strong stomach but the odour from the drain gulley was horrendous. I mentioned it to staff who said "Yes we know" We normally stay at CAMC sites but this is the second time this year we've tried a site like this which is clearly more geared towards the owners of statics not the touring caravanners - it's a shame as this good have been a really great experience except for the lack of attention to detail
