The building is beautiful although not particularly well maintained. Service at the front desk was very poor at some times, ok at other times. Food was uninteresting. The hotel seems to be more set up for convention groups than for independent travelers.

Nice hotel built into a XVIIth century cloister. Rooms are ample with a great inside patio. The location is superb, easy to walk to most main attractions. Service has deteriorated from it's glory days since it changed ownership a few years ago. Restaurant is so-so

Gorgeous 17-century convent with antique touches everywhere and stellar service. Enormous courtyard has retractable roof and classy boutiques. Wonderful bars and live music at night. Breakfast buffet (not included) was one of the best anywhere.

I love Puebla and we visit every other year. This year we chose this property due to location and the reviews. I could not be more disappointed. The condition of the common areas of the property is shockingly bad. The walls and floors were dirty, scuffed and poorly cleaned; plants dead or dying; the furniture in the bar equally filthy...

We visited Puebla for two days (one night) and needed a good location to be able to walk in the city center. Quinta Real is at an unsurpassable location. The friendly staff at check-in gave us a superior room, spacious and comfortable, quiet and dark at night. The live music in the bar was really good. Breakfast was excellent. Top...

Unless you insist on a pool there's no reason to stay anywhere else. Let's start with the history of the building as a convent and the amazing amount of preservation throughout the hotel and even the rooms. Every room is unique, the beds/pillows are comfortable, and the amenities are fabulous. We were in room 300 and it was huge with...

Love staying at converted homes or missions, of which Mexico has many. Service was excellent, staff accommodating. Beds comfortable. Bathroom space slightly small (think cruise ship size), but very clean. Food was tasty and location was great.

I recently attended a conference in Puebla, and stayed at the Quinta Real. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the minute you walk through the doors you are transformed to another place and time. The hotel is a converted convent that was built in 1593! The company that purchased it in the 1980's I think, took great...
