Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic! We loved our stay at The Waters Edge. The room was spotless and the little touches like fresh milk and ground coffee in the fridge were most welcome. The location was perfect with views across to the Isle of White, which we enjoyed whilst sitting in the room with the French doors open. We felt like long lost friends rather than guests and are looking forward to returning. Thank you!

The B&B is beautifully decorated and clean. The owners were friendly and welcoming. There was a good selection at breakfast and the Full English was very nice. A lovely location close to the sea. I have booked to stay again.

My wife and I stayed here 24-27 Jan and it met our needs perfectly. Our room was very comfortable, clean and tidy and the wonderful views across the Solent were a real bonus. Breakfast was provided to us in our room and comprised toast and cereals and yogurt which we were very happy with. There are plenty of places nearby offering a cooked breakfast. We would have no hesitation in returning to Waters Edge and we would recommend it unreservedly.

Well this was our second stay at the Waters Edge and certainly wont be our last! The rooms are beautifully decorated and well equiped with all the little extras you dont often get, including ground coffee and milk in a little fridge. When we asked if the owners (Ros and Keith) would mind mirowaving our babies bottles to sterilise them, not only did they happily assist but also left a microwave in our room to help going forwards. They also set up banners in the room for my partners birthday and completely went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Very reasonably priced and worth every penny - Thank you Ros and Keith - we'll see you again next time!

Lovely place with lush views of the isle of white. Could of spent the week there quite happily. We had booked up for my wife's 30th which she didn't have an idea about. The owners where so nice and helpful and on the morning of her birthday they had added a couple of surprises to the lovely breakfast hamper to help maker her birthday even more special. The suite it self feels lovely, airy with a modern seaside feel. We are both in the trade our self's and think you are doing a fantastic job. Will hope to see you again next year

From the moment we stepped into the room we were amazed at the high quality finish. We were comparing to a boutique hotel we previously paid 3 times the price for and couldnt believe what great value for money this was. This place is amazing, having its own front door (large french doors letting in loads of light), really comfy bed and a fridge with fresh milk for the morning coffee. The owners are lovely too, helped us out by printing tickets for the dockyard and even offered an umbrella when the weather turned. The little touches go a long way and we will most certainly be returning!

Spent 2 nights here as working on HMS Sultan for 2 days. This is a wonderful find. Excellent room overlooking the beach and Isle of Wight. Own parking right outside. Room finished to a high standard. Comfortable bed. Small sitting area and ensuite with good power to the shower. Highly recommend and I will definitely use again when next here on business or pleasure.
