Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My brother and I went on a "bucket list" trip. We stayed at Milvil for 13 nights and used it as our base for traveling in the area. Steve and Angela welcomed us and treated us to an enjoyable stay. It is centrally located within walking distance of restaurants and local sites. The breakfast menu had a wide range of choices. I would highly recommend Milvil and hope to stay there for future trips.

Comfy, quaint and spotlessly clean is how I’d describe this amazing B & B. It’s definitely one of the most unique properties I’ve ever stayed in and I’d highly recommend it. Stephen and Angela made me tea when I arrived, served up a delicious breakfast, gave helpful advice on what to do and where to eat nearby and happily shared the background to their art deco home. I’d love to return before too long.

Firstly, all the reviews on here about what a fantastic place Milvil Corner is, how stylish it is, how great the breakfasts are, how superb as hosts Steve and Angela are, how spectacularly clean the Art Deco house and facilities are, are spot on. I can't add much to what other guests have deservedly said about the establishment. What I would say about Milvil Corner is location, location, location! It's in a brilliant spot. Set in a very quiet suburb of 'old' Lee, it's only about a 7-10 minute walk to the centre of the town and seafront. It's perfect to visit local places of interest and even places a bit further afield. Then after a busy day, you can come back and relax in the peaceful tranquility of Milvil's lovely gardens. Brilliant! TIP: We drove to Fareham train station (10 minutes from Milvil) and caught the train to Brighton. It takes about 1hr 20mins to Brighton station. We went on a Sunday, so 'off peak', and if you can get a group saver (there were 4 of us) it was only £12.50 each for a return fare. I don't think it's that much more for just two people, and given the hideous traffic car park queues in Brighton, we felt the train was a master stroke! 2nd TIP: Wander down to Lee town centre and try the new Tap Room real ale bar at the crossroads. Do nice wine as well!

Our recent stay at Milvil B&B could not have been better. The location is quiet, yet just a 5 minute walk to Lee On Solent seafront. The standard of accommodation is excellent and hard to beat. The Maurice room was large and immaculately clean and prepared to a very high standard. There were numerous breakfast options and again the standard both in quality and presentation was extremely good. The hosts made us feel most welcome and their attention to detail during our stay shows they strive for the highest standards in all they do. Thank you for a lovely stay - we will be returning.

We stayed at Milvil B&B for 2 nights while we visited our family in Lee on the Solent. I cannot think of anything that was less then perfect. Super friendly, super accomodation, nice bed,..... We walked to the see in less then 10 minutes. If we need to give a score then Milvil B&B gets 10/10 from the Belgian jury.

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay when in Lee on the Solent. We stayed for 4 nights. Steve and Angela are wonderful hosts. There wasn't anything you could ask for stain remover to a floor fan (it was the hottest summer in history) for comfort. Angela's breakfasts were cooked to order and fantastic. Highly recommend!!!

The cleanliness, the fantastic rooms, the superb breakfasts, the hospitality of the hosts - year on year the quality on offer at Milvil Corner ranks as high as you could wish for in any accommodation. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for Steve and Angela and if you have never booked, you should - you will love it. Over the 13 years or so that we have stayed here, we have really run out of things to say about it other than when we visit our friends in Lee the very first thing we do is to check that we can get in at Milvil. Simply outstanding in all respects. The end.

This is the second time we have stayed here and once again it didn't disappoint. There is absolutely nothing that I can say that is detrimental - the house itself is Art Deco in style and this is reflected throughout in the furnishings and even in the garden! (And unusually even allowed to have afternoon tea in it). The breakfasts are huge with so much choice, the rooms spotlessly clean and the hosts charming. The b&b position is such that you can walk to the town shops and the beach within 15 minutes but it is situated at the end of a very quiet road. Would definitely use again.
