We had a room by the pool which was fine but bear in mind the pool is open until 11pm. The room was fine.the bed new and comfortable but a god awful smell coming in through the bathroom window. It was contained in the bathroom when the door was shut but it was bad in the bathroom. I believe it...

Paid $8 a night for a king size bed with balcony and own bathroom. Room smelt a bit musty and there was a small resident cockroach in the bathroom, but apart from that, no problem. They also looked after our bags when we went to the jungle for the night. Not great location, but 10/15min walk to food places. Free...

I believe this establishment may have changed hands sometime this year as it has have read good reviews in the past... For me there was nothing special about the place other than the swimming pool... So if that's the most important thing for you at the end of the day this may be the place for you... Personally I found...

Overall: This is a friendly, well run establishment with a warm atmosphere. It's not fancy or 5 star, but it is a nice place to come back to after a jungle trek. Overall very good value for the money and we'd stay here again. Pros: - Friendly kiwi owner, John, made us feel welcome and looked after. - Central location...

Their are cheaper options available. the 2nd night we slept at Paddy Guesthouse for $5 (fan, shared bathroom) where you can also book...

Okay, so I didn't actually take a room here, but only because they were fully booked within my budget, well all rooms were over my budget but I was willing to stretch a few more dollars, but cheaper rooms were booked out. Rooms come in between $11 and $17 (or $16?). I did have a quick look at the rooms...
