After almost 3 year the not-so-new owner continues to transform this landmark building into a home. At long last the scaffolding at the front has gone and its looking very tidy. Dispite some local opposition, this building has been saved from demolition and is a credit to Sea Palling. Instead of harassing the owner, the Parish Council should be praising...

The Old Hall continues to receive the care and attention she deserves after being neglected for so long. The owner Mary Carberry, of some 2 years now, continues to battle with this historic landmark building in her aim to restore it to her home. Mary regrets that its no longer a pub, but the previous owners ran it into the...

This is now a private home, and the the new long term owner is restoring the 1650 hall to its former glory. The Hall has suffered at the hands of previous owners and little if any money had been spent on it in over 40 years. As can be seen the roof has now been completely replaced with new antique...

We went to this pub for years and met three different landlords! Sadly the last landlord took on an adventure that was out of her league and with added personal problems, she inevitably became bankrupt and has now moved on. The new owner is transgender and is making a good job of refurbishment, but one has to wonder what is...

Please note that this pub is now permanently closed. Its now a private house, and being given the respect an old 1650 building deserves. It may look terrible for another 6 months, but at least the new owner is trying to put right years of neglect, and return it to its original use as a hall house. She has my...

We called in for a drink after a walk on Sea Palling beach. We are locals and thought we'd call in for a new year drink with the family. The welcoming was nil in fact we thought we'd gate crashed a private party! Ordering the drinks was hard work and a smile would not not have been amiss, in fact...

Very drab inside, only had one drink as didn't feel comfortable there. Extensive menu up on wall but didn't feel like trying anything, prices seemed quite high, so perhaps the food was better than I thought.

We went to The Old Hall Inn for lunch and we were so impressed we went back for the evening meal. For lunch we had a baguette & a toasted sandwich both of which were tasty & laden with our choice of filling. The evening meal was home cooked with plenty of freshly cooked vegetables. The staff were friendly and...
