Accommodation, food, decor, prices & location were excellent. These were so good that we will almost definitely visit again. Service was the downfall; we stayed for 2 nights so we had 2 breakfasts and 2 evening meals and the staff tried hard but it was all too frantic, not enough staff, and no organisation or control or leadership. The manager was a 100% waste of space, he was also rude and ignorant; I can’t stress that enough.

We met up with some friends in the black horse inn restaurant/hotel all though we only live in Darlington we have never heard of it! Some friends of ours called out of the blue invited us to tag along for the evening as we haven’t seen much of each other for a while, and we was not disappointed it was fantastic the rooms were spotless, we booked a table for 7pm we had a few drinks while waiting, and the food was out of this world it was so good when we checked out the next morning we booked a table to our Sunday lunch also and again it was beautiful, the staff everything was tip-top totally recommend and we have made plans to return again 👍
