The Cove Lamorna - Cornwall (formerly Lamorna Cove Hotel) is a boutique collection of self-catering apartments nestled above the glorious, historic and world famous Lamorna Cove. Take a dip in our amazing crystal clear outdoor pool with far reaching valley and sea views and then relax on one of the loungers and watch the yachts and fishing boats sail out to sea. Walk though our private wooded valley down to the small beach and harbour at Lamorna Cove in approximately 5 mins. Here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner or just a Cornish tipple whist waiting for the Mermaid of Lamorna to appear on Mermaid's Rock. You can explore the cove itself or have access to Cornwall's legendary coastal path. The Local Pub, the famous Lamorna Wink, is a 2 minute walk though our private garden. They serve good food by a local chef and have a good selection of local Cornish ales. Whatever you choose to do, The Cove is the perfect base in which to enjoy the best that the far west of Cornwall has to offer.

The location of the hotel is beautiful, really beautiful. Just a 10min downhill walk to the Cove, 15min drive from Porthcurno & Penzance, and the kids loved the pool. The WiFi in the room was decent, handy because there is no phone signal. Unfortunately, for £200 a night, that's where the positives end. The room was spacious, but there were lots of little things wrong not befitting the price per night. The fridge wasn't working properly, so the complimentary clotted cream & milk had gone off (the milk had separated). The flooring was damaged through wear & tear & simply filled. The windows were filthy, and walking around the hotel, couldn't help but notice that the windows on the outside were just as bad. Frames were chipped & detail was poor. It's as though the hotel needs some love to bring it up to its potential. I also understand that due to COVID, the sauna & spa couldn't be opened, but we were still charged full price for limited availability. We had a wonderful weekend in Cornwall, but my wife & I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed when leaving, simply because we didn't feel it was worth £200 a night. A case of not bad, but could be much better for the amount we paid.

Konni was very helpful and showed us around great seafood accommodation and very close to the beach would ideal for anyone wanting to get away from the city. I suggest you definitely need a GPS to find the location

Do not expect any help, phone service or communication if you book this apartment. The Staff are rude and extremely aggressive. If you have any issues they tell you to basically just go away……. Never again would I consider this place I would rather sleep in a tent.

Please if you read any comments read this one ! We had a booking for Aug that we booked last year. I was worried I had no contact from the company regarding check in details so I tried to contact them…. It was impossible took me a week to get in touch. When I eventually did it was a main switchboard who said they could not give me any information and I would have to just wait, I explained I had been trying to get in touch for a while and had no luck. She was so rude and told me she was ending the call because she couldn’t help. Eventually a manager called me and asked me “ Whats the problem” I actually could not believe what I was hearing, This was the 1st thing he said to me. I explained the staff were rude and I needed the details of check in as I have a disabled guest with me and needed to make arrangements. I was also very worried about the reviews and how bad they were about no receptionist at the time of check in. I’m travelling with a 87 year old man and 3 kids 7 hours so obviously I needed clarification on the key collection. After I explained this he was so aggressive and randomly said to me “shall we just cancel your Holiday ? “ I was in absolute shock ….. this is a holiday we are due to attend in less than 2 weeks time ! My kids were so excited. I explained of course not I am just worried as I have had no confirmation and your staff were extremely rude and aggressive. After this to my astonishment he told me we booked a early bird price and he could sell our holiday in Aug for triple the price if he wanted. After the call he then cancelled our booking and said this was due to me being aggressive !!!! I was absolutely just in shock and cried my eyes out…. How can a company get away with cancelling people’s holidays just to make extra money because they know people want to holiday in England more this year ! I am now seeking legal advise and trading standards are dealing with this. My partner had holidays booked and insurances and this had all been lost. Never in my life would I recommend this place it’s an absolute disgrace. The reviews are 100% accurate the staff are rude, aggressive and un contactable. Unfortunately they messed with the wrong family and will be hearing from trading standards very soon.
