The Ring O Bells at St Issey, is located about two and a half miles south of the popular fishing port of Padstow and within easy travelling distance of some of the best sandy beaches in Cornwall. "The Ringers" is a 17th-century Inn, nestled in picturesque rolling countryside with a small courtyard garden and intimate restaurant. The pub is well known locally for serving really good quality home cooked meals at honest prices. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Brilliant food, the steak pie was stacked full of tender beef with excellent pastry, good choice of vegetables and all really hot. Also the fish and chips were exceptional with nice side of home made coleslaw too. All in all the best in the surrounding area, think you would need to go some to better the food, service and atmosphere. Well done…. Thank you.

Tried to stay last night, left at 1am as we could not get to sleep. Don't book here or have room 2 if you want to sleep before 1am. We could hear everything from the bar, chatting, laughter, music . Thought it would stop at 11, didn't nor at 12 or half past Decided our best bet would be to go home so two hour drive. Breakfast would have been a continental one, porridge pot, wrapped cossiants etc.left in the room. Disgusted they refused to refund us as feel the essential part of b&b is a good night sleep and we certainly didn't have that. The fish and chips we had for dinner were very nice.

Went to the Ring O' Bells on three ocassions, twice for meals and once just for a few drinks. The host were very welcoming a the food was great. A small menu but sensibly priced and ample. Nice comfortable pub and would recommend.

Wonderful authentic pub with good range of food and drinks. We loved all the old photos on the walls and the books. So impressed with Kirsty who went above and beyond with my mum's dietary needs. Thank you so much :-)

Went here for Sunday lunch with family, lovely friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Choice of 3 meats all cooked to perfection plus a veggy option if required. Good selection of freshly cooked vegetables and plenty of them. Good value for money, will definitely be back.

A rude man that was only interested in the money. A complementary breakfast.! Teaspoons to eat your cereal about 5 fl ounces of milk.returned in the evening that the breakfast dishes had not been removed. Wet towels , told that they are not replaced only by complaining that we had 2 towels given. The 3 evening we were not given any milk for cereal for breakfast so we had to do without. It was also the way that he spoke to us. He was absolutely rude and very unpleasant. I have stayed there before for 10 years with the previous owners and Chris went out of his way. To make us feel so welcome. We also overheard on another table complaining. Stating that the service was bad. Not the young staff they were very good. Just the owner.

Popped into The Ring O' Bells for lunch on Saturday and had heard great things since a change of hands. We were not disappointed. The food is freshly cooked and prepared and served with real care. Staff are very friendly and the hardest thing is knowing what to choose from the menu. Homemade Pies, Seafood, Crab cakes, Fish Pie and all home cooked desserts too - wow. We will be back to try the rest very soon.

Like many village pubs The Ring o Bells has limited hours out of season, so don’t expect it to be open before 6:00pm most days. Despite limited trading hours, this is a pub that is very popular for evening meals. The menu is limited, but food is better than most locally and prices are much fairer than many. If we are in the area it is one of our regular haunts and looking at other reviews most share the same sentiment.
