Stayed in Honeypot For a week. Such a quiet location with hotel standard accommodation you can literally just turn up and they have thought of everything from shampoo to dishwasher tablets, even welcome cake milk bread and butter. Loved eco friendly products too. Thankyou. Grounds beautiful from gardens in front of properties for an evening drink to a deck with seating on the river at the bottom of the Woodlands Walk enjoy it all! Points to be aware of:single lane tracks surround property, no direct access to terrace and no door between bedroom and the downstairs. Would we go back? In a heartbeat. Enjoy

Some of the facilities were unavailable during our stay due to Coronavirus restrictions, but there is still more than enough comfort and luxury for those who prefer to stay off the beaten track in self catering accommodation.

Everything possible was done to minimise the risks of virus transmission and even the most fastidious of worriers would feel secure and relaxed here during these troubled times.

The Old Farmhouse is a large property with plenty of space to spread out and not get on top of each other. All the fittings and furnishings have been executed to a very high standard , especially the bathrooms and kitchen, both of which possessed every conceivable amenity. The heating system is powerful enough to keep the whole house warm once we had figured out how to adjust it with the help of the on-site owners. The whole setting is delightful with a woodland walk down to a stream at the bottom of the hill.

The weather stopped us enjoying the outdoor barbecue, but we did manage to indulge in the hot tub every evening despite the rain, it was a great tonic after a long day out in the countryside.

The site is secluded and navigating in by SatNav does not necessarily bring you to the correct location. Using Google Maps or a similar tool negates this issue.

I felt i had to write a review of this wonderful find. We stayed late March for my husbands 50th Birthday, just before all the lockdown started and i am so glad we did. We had the most wonderful 4 nights in total peace and tranquility, just what we needed. Could not fault the accomodation at all, absolutely spotless and so well thought out - everything you could need.
We arrived late at night and it was very foggy, the country lanes are not for the faint hearted that late at night in the fog, but in daylight much better. They are very narrow, only 1 car and not too many pull ins, but for this time of year we didnt encounter much traffic thankfully.
To say its dog friendly is an understatement, and has a lovely off lead area for them as well as a beautiful woodland walk leading to a stream - its just idyllic.
We will definitely be returning as although its remote its only a 15 min drive from looe and Polperro, so not too far from anywhere...
Its a true credit to the owners, its so well kept - i would love to be snowed in there!! See you again when all this is over...x

Heartbreaking to tell our eight her holiday is cancelled with 9 days to go.

The property is blaming the booking agent, the booking agent is blaming the vendor.

Booked back in Feb, cancelled and given to a booking made in June.

No retrospective comment can justify this, please beware.

We are very sorry that your holiday has been cancelled and we can understand your frustration. As I have explained over our several calls Cottages.com cancelled your booking on the 27th February and it doesn't appear that they relayed this information to you. I have sent you the proof of the cancellation made by Cottages. com and they have accepted liability in this matter. If you book direct with us these issues will not arise.

The main thing I loved about this cottage was the setting. My dog loves rivers which is the main reason I booked this property rather than others. The woodland walk is beautiful. Being able to get up every morning and take your dog around here which is literally right in front of the cottage is lovely. It has a lovely seating area down at the bottom too.
We stayed in Rainbow cottage which has a lovely balcony door which my dog Skylah loved (think I’m going to have to install one at home) the beds are super comfortable and the bedding is lovely too (I made a note of the brand so I can buy some)
We were provided with some milk for drinks and also some cake which was lovely. The owners also decorated the property for me as it was for my partners 30th.
Just some hopefully helpful feedback it might be useful to send the site map to people in advance. We arrived just slightly after midnight which meant the outside lighting had gone off so we did struggle finding the cottage. Turned out to be the first one we went past!
Our dog didn’t want to leave and neither did we. Thank you for such a lovely experience. Have recommend to a few friends who have dogs.

We stayed in BlackBerry Barn for two weeks and it was beautiful.
Vicky was fantastic and was in contact before our holiday started and was on hand if we had any questions or queries.
Vicky was there to welcome us on our arrival and ensured we had everything we needed. The barn was spotless, beautiful and our 2 year old said ‘it’s amazing’. We had fun exploring the grounds including the woodland walk, the fields and the garden at the front of the barn.
It was in the perfect location to explore other villages and towns in Cornwall and after a long day BlackBerry barn was a welcome retreat to relax.
We made so many amazing memories, thank you Vicky and all the team at Old Lanwarnick.

A very warm welcome, Honeypot Cottage was spotless and beautifully presented. We wanted for nothing with a very generous welcome pack awaiting us, containing, a lemon cake, bread, butter, eggs and milk and treats for our dog, Tiggy too. Cottage was toasty warm with a cosy log burner in the sitting room and throws for us to snuggle up in. Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful hosts. Only problem was the time passed too quickly.

Amazing, great for the dog having 2 enclosed fields for him to run around in, plus the woodland walk. We were able to relax in the hot tub with great views. The cottage was clean, comfortable and we had a warm welcome with eggs from the chickens on site.. Positioned great for walks and beaches and The Plough Inn (not too far) at Duloe serves outstanding food. Lovely break would highly recommend it especially if you have any four legged family members!

I have had the privilege to visit Old Lanwarnick cottages a couple of times with my family and every time has been amazing. I have stayed in a few different cottages each one just as beautiful. It is an amazing place to visit especially with dogs as they are incredibly dog friendly with lots of land to walk and explore as well at two fully enclosed dog exercise areas. Also must note the hot tub is amazing especially after a long walk.

How do I book a champagne breakfast and are there any nice restaurants near by for a special dinner ?
Answer from mark_oldlanwarnick
Liskeard, United Kingdom
Good afternoon Lorraine, Thank you for contacting us at Old Lanwarnick. To book a champagne breakfast you simply select the option on our online booking form at our website, once selected this will then be added to your stay. We just ask guests to let us know which day they would like to have their champagne breakfast on. We have many fantastic restaurants in the area with many different types of cuisine to choose from. Couch's in Polperro is well worth a visit, excellent high quality food from a chef who has learned his skills from Gordon Ramsey, Marco Pierre White and Raymond Blanc. Also the Ancient Mariner in Looe is a lovely intimate restaurant that serves fresh local ingredients. Both Looe and Polperro are just five miles away. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact to email us. We look forward to hearing from you.
