Fabulous place, staff were incredible, room was great, the beds are super comfortable. Negatives, We didn't think the restaurant lives up to it's price tag, and there is literally nowhere else to go, so you pay inflated prices for what we would say, was good food but nothing note worthy for the price, wine also is very expensive. SPA is dated but they are building a new one. The grounds are beautiful and of course the location is superb.

The buildings and grounds are quite nice. Our room was enormous and comfortable, though we had to ask to change rooms as the first room had an awkward layout with master bedroom on main floor and bath upstairs. Our request was handled quickly. Dinner at the restaurant was only OK - one good and one not good entree. Breakfast was tasty. Spa treatments were good.

My husband and I visited Calcot for a weekend with our three young children and puppy. I arrived first with children and dog, and was pretty stressed (a drive from London with yelling kids will do that…!) plus I had booked a spa treatment, so needed to get children into the Playbarn as soon as possible. Katie on the front reception was a total angel - taking the dog for a walk, sorting out my bags in the car and letting me take the children to the Playbarn and get to my treatment on time. Absolutely fantastic service and so appreciated. Also huge thanks to Luke, who was a brilliant and great fun waiter. All the staff are a total credit to the hotel, and having stayed in many more expensive places where that’s not the case, I really appreciate this. The room we were in (Westonbirt) was perfect - the three beds were made up beautifully for the children and they really loved their names on the door and the chocolate lollies to make hot chocolate after dinner. The Playbarn was fantastic - lovely staff and the children couldn’t wait to go back there and cried when we had to leave. It’s an expensive stay but honestly I think worth it for families; there aren’t many luxury hotels done as well as this.…

My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with a meal at The Brasserie. The food was fabulous and the staff were amazing, very attentive yet calm and efficient. To start we had the wild mushrooms on toasted focaccia and the butternut squash soup. For main we had the lobster thermidor with truffle and Parmesan fries and a glass of Chablis, and the fillet steak with sides of broccoli and cauliflower cheese and a glass of Malbec red wine. The staff surprised us with a glass of champagne before the meal and a variety of sorbets with ‘Happy 35th Anniversary’ written in chocolate. It made our anniversary a really special experience. We were so impressed we have decide that next year we are going to return for an overnight stay and spa experience. We were very impressed and would highly recommend the hotel and restaurant.…

I dined in the brasserie for lunch with my family, first trip to Calcot and wont be my last! I had the dressed crab and chicken milanese which were fantastic, everyone commented on the food. Service was very friendly and not over the top like some places, special mention to Elwira who was very professional and Rafa the porter who helped my mother with her wheelchair in the car park. Gorgeous rooms with extremely friendly staff, the food served at the restaurant was fairly priced for the amazing quality that we received and both the restaurant and room service were quicker than expected. Lauren at the bar served my friends and I some of her own cocktails that she had come up with and they were honestly some of the best I’d tasted. The “Soft spot” and the “Riptide” MUST be added to the menu and I will be visiting this hotel in the near future without a doubt.

Not sure where to start except to say everything from arrival to departure was absolutely perfect. This is the second time we have visited Calcot as we were really impressed with the excellent service we received the first time. Who knew that it could only get better! Following a complimentary upgrade for our 45th Wedding Anniversary (which was not expected), the reception staff could not have been more welcoming and did everything to ensure we were able to relax immediately we arrived. We enjoyed the spa, the amazing food in the restaurant, the breakfast and incredible afternoon tea.It was especially a real personal experience for us to be greeted by Vicki H.P. in the restaurant.Incredibly she remembered us from our previous visit and her greeting only made our visit more special. I recently visited Calcot manor brassiere for an afternoon tea with my granddaughter. We were beautifully welcomed by a super smiley waitress named Ellie who immediately found our booking, seated us on a lovely table and explained how the afternoon tea worked which was extremely helpful! She then took our order and delivered our drinks swiftly! Our afternoon tea was then served to us by an extremely polite waiter named Hamish who went through the food for us with great passion that got us very excited to dig in ! It was delicious!!! So delicious that I have booked to come back at Christmas time with my friend. I am bit of an afternoon tea connoisseur and have been to many ! We had a beautiful stay at Calcot - the brasserie served an amazing Sunday lunch and evening meal with very friendly staff. We made use of the family time at the indoor spa pool with our 3 month old. Hugely recommend for families. Only downside was the room was very hot with no AC
