Visited for lunchtime meal. Very disappointing, the inside doesn't resemble the outside - drab and cold, needs refurb. Food was ok but took 40 minutes to come with no explanation and it wasn't cheap. The barman was very pleasant, but the manager (we think) was on the defensive and grumpy. Won't be visiting again!

Spent New Years Eve at the Hotel where a beautiful free buffet was laid on by the owners Clive and Mel, we have been fortunate to attend them in the past when nothing has been to much trouble to make our evening enjoyable. We have also had Dinner there and the food is plentiful and of a very high standard...

A large group of us have stayed at this hotel over the past 2 years and have always received a friendly, warm and welcoming reception from the owners. However, last weekend, the owners were apparently away on holiday and on arrival we were greeted by a not so friendly, warm or welcoming reception and in fact the first words that...

Went here 6 weeks ago for a family funeral in the area. Took my 80 year old Mum. We were given rather lovely rooms and they made my Mum feel very special indeed. 150% for service! Rooms were great, food was awesome and the gardens are really special. There is a large stream running down at the bottom of the...

Just had the most delicious meal here, we happened to drive by and thought we'd stop. What amazing food, great prices and welcoming. We are on holiday, but when over this way will definitely be stopping again.

Called in here for dinner around 7:00pm on a weekday. The inside is a little tired but we sat in the very nice garden. The lad behind the bar (Daz) was rushed off his feet serving beer, taking orders, taking food out and clearing tables but he did a stellar job, was cheerful and never stopped moving. Chicken and ham...

The beer garden of this pub is fantastic, we always make sure to go and sit in the sun with a drink whenever we're up. Always (surprisingly) quiet, more often than not we're in there on our own with the dog. It overlooks the river and is quiet despite being on a busy road. Narrow range of lagers but it...
