Best week of our five weeks in Mexico. Planned on a few days and stayed a week. Amazing food all home cooked both delicious and nutritious every meal. Great advice on day trips and walks from most helpful owner. Incredible views of the beautiful beach of Puerto Angel. We felt very at home and just loved this place. Thank you... More

My first Scorpion, and a local guy stuck its tail in a straw, tied it with dental floss, and proceeded to put it on guests and let it walk up their arms. Then the guys took us to an incredible tidal pool where we swam with trapped beautiful fish and played "pop the siduela". All the other guests were German,... More

The rooms are basic, but comfortable. Bastien and his family made us feel very welcome - I am surprised to see comments about the staff being rude. That was not our experience at all. The meals are really, really excellent - the highlight of our stay. And the dining terrace has a beautiful view of the harbour. The property is... More

The hotel was dirty and owners were rude. We were going to stay four night but could only stay one. We were lead to believe that the beach community called Puerto Angel, 6 hour bus from Oaxaca City, was a "piece of heaven", according to the book. This might have been the case twenty years ago but upon our arrival... More

We didn't stay here but came in the evening to eat. The restaurant is perched on top of the guest house and you get great views over the village and bay. In the evening there are just one or two dishes to choose from but every meal we had was excellent. Succulent tuna, then lobster ( we ordered that specially)... More

I didn't stay here but went to eat here for dinner one night and were so impressed that we went back for banana crepes with nutella the next morning. Yum. Stellar views from the rooftop rating areas too!

If you are not looking for a place too fancy, Gundi y Tomas may be right for you. My wife, 14 yr old son and I stayed there for 2 nights in July. The rooms were large and equipped with mosquito nets and fans. The bathrooms were colourful but rudimentary. Overall, it was a really funky place! The food was... More

I've been there in january 2011 with my dads. The place is very charming, lots of colors, with various steps, terraces where you can see the sea. The rooms are enough spacious. The comon sanitaries are normal. There is no hot water but it's not a problem because the weather is hot and tropical, day and night. It's 5mn far... More

We choose this hotel because it is recommended by the moon travel guide. We were rather disappointed. What we like about the place are the good food and the casual atmosphere. Our main complain is the noise. The rooms have tilt & slide windows and doors. It appears to be a lovely feature for the hot weather, but too bad... More
