Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unfortunately my stay here was not so good. The hotel itself is a nice building and indeed the breakfast is very nice and good. However, the breakfast voucher you get with your booking does not give you access to the buffet with all the good stuff. At least this is what I understood with my limited Spanish since nobody, yes, nobody speaks English in this hotel. On top of that I relocated rooms since the first one was in the basement (room 103) and was quite noisy so I was hoping that it would be better in the second room (307). Unfortunately, it wasn't. Employees of the hotel worked till late in the night and didn't bother being quiet for the guests. They even turn on some music at 1:30AM. Since the room is attached to the souterrain of the restaurant the light outside the hallway is always on and the curtains do not cover the light, so it will never be dark in your room. In the morning there are families with kids that run around the restaurant screaming. On top of all of this even washing clothes is too much effort. When I turned in my clothes on Thursday I heard on Saturday they weren't washed and weren't going to be washed because there was no laundry on Saturday... So, I bet there are many better places for your money in Xalapa, I would definitely not recommend this one

We stayed at Las Margaritas for ine night when passing through Xalapa. Found it via Tripadviser, and it did not dissapoint. It is a very beatiful hotel, and very comfortable. And they included a basic breakfast, and for a small fee you can upgrade to the buffé. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because our door lock did not work, we could not lock the door, except for the security chain. The bathroom door lock did not work either. But we arrived late, and just stayed for the night, so it was no problem, I didn't even ask for another room. We had four rooms in total and my room was the only one with any kind of problem. The restaurant has reasonable prices, with good food. At this hotel you can definitely stay a longer period as well, very nice place. And they have parking.

This is a great hotel in Xalapa, the staff were really friendly, rooms nice and clean and comfortable. The restaurant was really nice and the hotel it's self is very pretty. The only down side is that's it's a little outside of the centre but a taxi is only between 30/40 pesos into the centro area.
