Kerswell Farmhouse is a beautiful 400-year-old Devonshire longhouse and barn. Located in a secluded part of the South Hams between Totnes and Dartmouth and set in 14 acres of rolling countryside, it enjoys spectacular views towards Dartmoor. Two individually designed en-suite double suites with private sitting rooms are furnished with antique and contemporary pieces and original artwork. Each room has under-floor heating, sumptuous pocket-sprung mattresses and White Company linen. Breakfasts are equally delightful with a range of choices and using home-produced and local produce. Kerswell Farmhouse has implemented several measures to ensure the safety of our guests during the current period of concern including social distancing, breakfast served in private sitting rooms and deep-cleaning after every guest.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well we were late to this party...but all the good reviews before us sum up the place and your stay. Very personable hosts and their dear woofa Bear compliment excellent beds, great bath tubs, exceptional strong tea and home produced meaty goods for breakfast all added to rather impressive views. Remote yes but not that far from things to do and places to eat. The added benefit is that you have to drive your vehicle with care and if you are not confident at reversing....well you will be a little more practiced by the time you leave! Devon byways are narrow, deep and have bloody great tractors on them....and also mostly very considerate fellow motorists. Do book direct and engage Graham in good conversation as he has opinions not only worth listening to but also perhaps disagreeing. Nicole his great breakfast chef, shopper, bed maker and long time partner adds to the mix and I feel will occasionally tell graham to wind his neck in. Excellent value for money and most importantly a B & B where the 'bed' is a major part of the stay thus sleep is made easy as noise really doesn't intrude. We'll return......

Excellent accommodation and a wonderful location. The rooms offer everything you could need, very comfy bed and stylish bathroom. The two fridges including a mini bar are a lovely addition. The microwave and crockery give the opportunity to dine in should you prefer. Walking round the farm visiting the pigs and chickens escorted by Bear the very friendly farm dog is a must. The scenery is spectacular although the very narrow lanes take a while to get used to when driving. Graham and Nichols are extremely welcoming and offer up great ideas where to visit during your stay. Nichola's wonderful breakfasts set you up for the day.

Wow what an amazing time we had at Kerswell - it really made our short break truly memorable from the barn conversion we stayed in to our hosts outstanding breakfasts (all home grown - super tasty) They are a James Bond couple with worldwide experiences and an in depth knowledge of local history, art and the best trips clearly descriptively typed out so that even we didn't get lost. They truly brought the area to life and we have no hesitation in recommending Kerswell Farmhouse for your trip . Our only mistake was not taking them out as our guides for the day - never mind next time! Shaily, Mimi Beni & Dave X

We stayed in the Bonberry suite which was superbly appointed and could not have been bettered. Beautiful views towards Dartmoor from our own private garden with a glass of wine in hand . Very friendly owners and very tasty breakfasts, with a wonderful choice. Lots to do in the area including walking on the south west coast path, visiting Dartmouth and Salcombe and of course the beautiful beaches of Blackpool Sands and Thurlestone. We would definitely recommend Kerswell Farmhouse.

What a fabulous place to stay and explore Devon We had the room with a garden, a beautiful stylish little cottage. Everything you could possibly need. Huge comfortable bed, fabulous bathroom, clean and stylish . Nice crockery, wine glasses and two fridges, sofa. Stunning views of Devon countryside. Miles of pretty walks by wild flower meadows, woods and streams . Breakfast is generous and perfectly cooked. Graham knows the area and history well, Nicola is equally friendly and helpful. Add their lovely old dog Bear and it feels like a perfect holiday home!

We spent 6 nights at Kerswell and would have gladly spent another 6 nights. Nichola and Graham have created a lovely B&B with a location and scenery that is stunning. Added to this is their personal touch which makes it feel like a home away from home. Breakfast is a delight with multiple quality choices. Add in 'bear' the friendliest dog ever and you have an ideal location to base yourself for the delights of the South Hams area of Devon. Would recommend to others,
