Staff very helpful, food excellent, everywhere very clean. Very comfortable bedroom, although the bathroom could have had more hooks /rails to hang damp towels. It would have been helpful to have been told, before booking, that the Watercress Festival was held on the Sunday - we couldn't move our car from the hotel car park all day.. However, would certainly stay again as the location was ideally suited for the interesting places we wanted to visit.

We stayed in this charming hotel for two nights to explore the area for a place to take a walking group to later in the year. We were not disappointed on any front. The hotel was faultless and the area was a brilliant location for walking. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and we look forward to returning with our group later in the year.

We had lovely night's stay here. Everything was perfect. We had a beautiful view of Alresford highstreet, comfortable bed and a lovely big bath in the room. Had a night cap in the well done outdoor seating area and breakfast was delicious. Such a lovely little town with plenty of walks to explore too. Would definitely recommend.

A special birthday lunch yesterday with lovely food, beautifully presented and very tasty. We had: pan fried salmon, baby beets, sauté potatoes and delicious crispy kale with a dill sauce; a beef burger and a chicken burger in brioche buns; "small" (actually quite big) cod and chips with mushy peas. I snuck a candle to the staff and they put it on my mum's pudding which was great. Everyone lovely and helpful. Managed to find a space in the hotel's smallish car park - noticed at least one person parking there and then going shopping, which didn't help! We hope to be back some time, thank you!

Stayed here for 3 nights as we needed somewhere to stay close to matterley basin as we were going to watch the motocross. What an excellent family run hotel, the staff are all professional and very friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Very central location and close to all amenities. I stayed in room 8 and it was perfect lovely snug room, with an amazing roll top bath, and the bed was very comfortable so I had a great nights sleep. The restaurant and bar area is a lovely place to go for food or some drinks felt very welcomed by the staff and locals! The lady who was serving us at breakfast time was very friendly and told us some history about the place, which was nice, and the gentleman who served us in the restaurant was great, very friendly and chatty and always had a smile on his face! (Can't remember his name) Thank you to Angie and Tim and all the staff at the Swan Hotel for a wonderful stay everything was perfect, we will be booking again for next year. See you all next February!

Very nice and clean rooms, very good shower, and room decor. My only comment would be the breakfast service seemed a little disorganised, just needs a little more attention to service, and detail for the guests. Very nice food though.

Recently stayed at the Swan Hotel for the first time. What a pleasant experience it was, we were greeted by helpful, friendly staff in every area of the hotel. The room was very stylish whilst holding character and charm. The food in the restaurant was excellent and breakfast was certainly of a high standard. If your looking for somewhere to style in the area I would certainly recommend a stay at the Swan.
