Just spent the most wonderfully relaxing week staying in 'The Stables' at Norburton - our first visit to the area, and we really couldn't have picked a better place to stay! Spacious in size but cosy in feel, it's evident how much thought and care has gone into every detail

We really enjoyed our week staying in The Hayloft, which was clean, comfortable, well-equipped, warm and dog-friendly. We had a very warm welcome from Karen, who showed us around the property and gave us directions for walks to the nearby village and beach. Our dog loved

The grounds at Norburton are very pleasant and Burton Bradstock is a charming village. 'The Stables' fell a little short of expectations raised from the (very clever) photos and marketing info though - more 'basic' than 'luxury'. Accommodation is rather tired and dated, but

Thank you for your review. I know you came with Mark and can see that you have written a very similar review. It was good to chat with Mark during your stay. We did talk about the challenges with wifi through old stone walls and I offered an alternative option. Even though we are leaving, we care about our guests' experience and are still welcoming guests here until the end of this month. I would, therefore, like to talk to you about the label of luxury - we aim to provide authentic and comfortable accommodation and I would not wish to claim to provide luxury. You also refer to very clever photos. Again, I would like to talk to you, as it is important that our photos reflect exactly what we have here. Mark took some photos which I thought would be helpful for others. How do ours differ? The extractor fan is possibly too effective as it creates a cold area on the wall. It is activated with the light and if it is left on for long periods we then experience condensation on the zone next to it. I am glad that you enjoyed Burton Bradstock and I am sorry that you felt our accommodation did not match expectations. I will try to contact you by phone/email and look forward to speaking again. There will be new owners here and I would not like them to be unfairly judged.

We stayed at the Stables recently & enjoyed a fab week at this well located Base for exploring West Dorset. Our accommodation of choice was the Stables. Let's be clear: Norburton Hall is charming and The Stables apartment was adequately comfortable. It did however fall short

Thank you for your review - so glad to read you enjoyed staying here and eating at The Three Horseshoes too. It's a lovely part of the world for dog owners isn't it? We really appreciate you recommending us to others, too. We've just got a few breaks available for anyone who would like to stay before the beginning of November.
