We knew nothing about this site having found it in an ancient dog-friendly site book. We were really pleased that we did find it! Online booking was easy and, when we had a couple of queries and needed to request a date change Sandy, who answered the phone, was super helpful - thank you. We had rented a semi-serviced pitch which was ideal and beautifully situated in Bluebell field. For the time of year the site was pretty busy but not uncomfortably so and we had great weather for a week. "Poppy's" restaurant and shop was a fantastic part of the site with really good food, generous servings and inexpensive, in fact, we decided that the Fish 'n Chips that we had on Friday night was one of the best we'd ever had! We had our small dog with us, and although he wasn't allowed into any of the main buildings, he was allowed to sit with us in the outside, covered area of the restaurant. The bar was open in the evenings and again, tye drinks were very reasonably priced. The site precautions and rules ref COVID-19 were very good and neither particularly intrusive nor over the top - very easy to cope with. We had read some reviews saying that the dual-carriageway that ran alongside the site was very noisy 24/7 - we found it completely the opposite and no problem at all. If we had to make a couple of "picky" points they would be that there was only one dedicated dog-waste bin and the general waste bin was at the bottom of the site but no big deal. So good we booked a return trip for 2021!

Fantastic. How delighted we were to know that you've really enjoyed staying with us and that after finding us in an old book your holiday turned out better than you'd expected. We've tried hard to make everyone feel safe on the park and we are very pleased it has worked out so well under the current circumstances. We admit our provision of waste services could have been better and we have already got in mind improvements for next year. We'll also be improving the dog exercise area and providing a direct access point onto the adjacent bridleway. Let's hope you return to us again soon.

Me and my partner stayed here for a while when we visited Torquay! Can't fault its proximity to Torquay or the facilities! Toilets nipping clean and pitches serviceable. My issues with the site was it was just off a dual carriage way which was busy all day and night and its larger than sites we normally stay at so felt it wasn't as quiet as other places we have stopped! No fault of the owners and we were greeted with big smiles, laughs and kindness :)

We've been lucky to have good staff who have worked tirelessly to keep the facilities clean and safe for everyone to use. They've done a fantastic job. regarding the proximity to the road we do have the advantage of being able to take some larger units as they do not have to negotiate any narrow country lanes or roads. We appreciate that you have travelled a long way and it sounds like overall you found it worthwhile. We hope that if you are ever back in this area you would come and stay with us again. Keep safe.

Would like to thank Sandie for her hard work in a pretty busy clubhouse for the last 3 nights. Giving table service to everyone single handed and always with a smile. Thankyou Sandie very much appreciated.

Sandie did work very hard in the bar all on her own 7 nights a week to help Gordon & Thelma out. We have all appreciated her hard work. She managed the bar successfully as I said on her own and keeping everyone safe. Lots of people have commented on having a good time in the bar. Well done Sandie and thank you for your comments I will make sure Sandie knows she has had a special mention.

We found Widdicombe Farm to be very welcoming with spotlessly clean and modern facilities in the shower and toilet block. The pitches are good and spacious. We had initially booked for three nights but stayed for six. A good location for visiting all areas of South Devon which is beautiful. The restaurant was very good and particularly George, who served us was very helpful and accommodating. Also, Gordon’s Bar was very popular and staff very welcoming. We enjoy walking and were able to visit local villages on foot but a car is advisable if you aren’t such a keen walker. Overall, I would not hesitate in recommending this site to anyone.
