This is a first-come, first-served campground. You drive around and find a spot you like, then go to the booth at the entrance to pay for your spot. The campground is about 40 miles north of Lake Louise. It's very wooded, with nice non-flush toilets and a sink for washing dishes. We car camped/slept in tents. They have shelters if...

We read the reviews and took a chance knowing in advance there were no amenities. For larger rigs we found the sites to be both tight and shallow. We also found the entire campground to be quite dusty with so many campers driving 20 mph thru the campground on dirt/light gravel roadways. For senior citizens like us driving a larger...

Waterfowl Campground is a lovely 'self service' campgroud with a beautiful river running alongside. You can sit by the river (no bear watch!) enjoying a drink or take a short hike to one of the 2 lakes.

We wound up here on an adventure in Aug 2015. We got the only site available and were very thankful for it. The upper and lower waterfowl lakes were amazing, but even better than that was the trail head. We hiked to the waterfall and cirque lake, a glacier feed lake at the foot of the glacier. It was amazing,...

We only spent one night at Waterfowl Lakes, but enjoyed out stay. We arrived around 5 and were glad to see there were sites still available. We were even able to get one along the river connecting the two lakes, perhaps because the picnic table was missing. After setting up our tent and speaking to some of the park workers...

We stayed one night on the way to Jasper. It was a nice campground. Clean bathrooms that had heaters, as it was freezing the night we stayed. It was a quiet campground, there was not much privacy at our campsite, but we arrived late at night and had to get what we could. I would stay again

We knew we wanted to stop here to break our journey to Banff with our RV. As you cannot book we were nervous about whether we would get a space. We tried it anyway. We were not disappointed. We knew we would have no hookups but for one night this was fine. You pick your spot and then register and...

Tent camped here one night. Location of campground to the lake is nice and the lake and surrounding views are beautiful. Even though it's a camp ground, you do feel like you are in a natural area. We knew that the bath house only has sinks and toilets - no showers. However, when we arrived the bath house was closed...

We spent an unexpected night at Waterfowl Lakes Campground, in the Banff National Park. Campground is located approx. 33 ksm from Lake Louise. Self registration is in effect. $20.83 per night. $7.50 fire permit. The camper trailer sites are very large - we have a 24' camper and there was tons of space. There are no hookups, but that doesn't...
