I've really debated how to handle this review, because the Shadow Lake Lodge itself is glorious. The location is amazing. The 8 mile hike in isn't too bad - just a bit of a climb at the end, and lots of boardwalks to help you...More

We were looking forward to this trip since March! The hike to the Lodge is beautiful. Various estimates of the length were found on various sources. It is 6 miles of 2-track and then 2 miles of regular trail. The Lodge itself is well maintained...More

Likely the best experience in the backcountry we have ever had. The hike in is well worth the trip and the photo opportunities are that of a lifetime. We were just in awe of the beauty. We didn’t see any wildlife other than the resident...More

You are able to bike the first 12km on the Redearth trail, then you must lock your bikes and hike the last 2km. You will gain 1500' on this trail, there are a few good hills, but the trail itself is not challenging.
