The "Superior Room Mountain View", in reality, seems to have been updated in 1980 and nothing (except the carpet) touched since that time. At $250 per night was a complete rip-off. Aside from the blatant false advertising about the "views", the complete lack of security was

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us TX_Traveler_2014. The hotel is one of the older properties in town and we do appreciate that updates are required. We are very excited that a full renovation is planned to start in September 2019. Until then we will continue to reflect our product in the rates offered to our guests. Guest security and safety are always a top priority of ours. Security teams do make regular patrols of the property to ensure the welfare of all. I have taken a close look at the photograph you have taken and can confirm the angle of the picture shows the building in front. If the angle was rotated a little to the right there are views of the majestic Cascade mountain to be seen through the leaves of the trees. As we are currently in our winter season I guess this photograph was taken some time ago. Once again I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us, but hope you did enjoy your time in beautiful Banff.

I stayed here for 4 nights in January 2019. The rooms are fine and clean and it is in a good location - I think compared to some places in this area it is relatively good value for money. The pool area is very dated and the pub located in the hotel is good for drinks and games

We always stay here when we come to Banff. Rooms are cheap and yes it’s out dated, but rooms are clean and staff are friendly. As a heads up, if you book the cheapest regular room, your usually put in the older building which is extremely outdated. If you spend the extra

Had stayed here previously. It is a budget hotel which is fine. Usually stay the first couple of nights we get to banff until we get our bearings. The reason we stayed here was for the unreal outdoor hot pool overlooking the mountains!!!!! It was unreal. It was worth

The outdoor hot pool is no longer a facility at the hotel. It was closed some considerable time ago due to structural failure and the safety of our guests is always our top priority. Towards the end of 2019 we will be starting a major renovation project at the hotel and a new and modern hot pool will be constructed during this time.

Big room, two double queen beds, nice mountain view, nice staff. All you ask for a short stay at 78 CAD per night. And for the price paid, there is no comparison possible in Banff area. So, really consider one of the best address for a family with a limited budget.

Is the rooftop pool open?
Dear Aliuna, Thank you for your question. We used to have a rooftop pool, but it is no longer in service. We do have an indoor pool and sauna. Kind Regards, Team Inns of Banff

I did not visit the banquet rooms, and, based on my experience with the rest of the hotel, I wouldn't be in any rush to. The main areas of the hotel (lobby, gift shops) have air conditioning as part of their heating/cooling plant, and I would guess (GUESS) the banquet rooms are similarly serviced. The management has stated "it's an older property," which is often (not always) businessspeak for "we're not putting any more money into this property than we absolutely have to." There are other properties in Banff, far older, that have state-of-the-art air conditioning. But based on my own experience, and other commenters here, I'd bet this older property is not in that league. I'd SUSPECT.

Laundromat downtown does great job: drop off dirty clothes & pick up clean folded ones couple hours later

The pool area needs to be completely rebuilt. It will not be open in the near future.

Our 3 bed condo's do not have a deck, but the 4 bedroom condo's do have this facility. The outdoor hot pool is in a different building just a short walk from all of the condo's.
