Very nice place. The owners live downstairs. We had the Egyptian room. Not the most spacious but you only use it for sleeping so no real issue. Bathroom nice and clean with shampoo and shower cream provided. Plenty of room to park - we used the driveway the first night as parking on the road was banned due to the snow. The owners are very friendly and breakfast is good. Let them know what you can/can't eat and they will accommodate. They are also very good at responding to emails. We were due there the day after Calgary ground to a halt due to 16 inches of unexpected snow so emailed to check all was ok. Received a reassuring reply within a couple of hours. It is in a quiet residential area and seems miles from the town but 5 mins down the road are shops, restaurants and trains into the centre. Would come back here.…
Location near Dalhousie Station means you can use the mass transit railroad to access downtown, and as far out as the Zoo. Prices for using the system are very reasonable. Also nearby are a variety of restaurants in the Mall, as well as grocery store and other retail outlets, so, although located in a quiet, out of town area, there is good access to all the downtown type amenities
We were visiting family recently and stayed at this Bed and Breakfast in NW Calgary. It was in fact a return trip after having been there in August, and we did not hesitate to book again for our last stay. Very comfortable, pleasant room in a lovely home and the hosts, David and Teri, couldn't be more warm and accommodating. They were very helpful with directions and suggestions for restaurants, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting over breakfast each morning (and the breakfasts were fantastic!). Definitely recommend this B&B if you are planning a trip to Calgary.
Had a most wonderful experience with hosts, David & Teri English in their warm and inviting home. Easy access to the freeway and services in the area. As we were visiting friends close by we were able to walk and enjoy the surrounding community and nature walk. I would recommend this B&B and stay again if ever we have need. Teri makes a wonderful breakfast and conversation with David around the table was energizing.
Stayed here on my road trip, and wanted to be near Nose Hill Park but easy to get downtown. This is a luxury b n b, the hosts are very welcoming. There is a room with ensuite facilities, full use of the kitchen and lounge and free wifi. Outside is a nice patio area and hot tub. Nearby there are shops, restaurants and the bus station. 20mins to centre of Calgary. Can't praise this place enough.
