I was very excited to be spending three nights in the mountains in a cabin but on arrival we were given the keys to a chalet at the back of the park. That would have been ok, however, the chalet was just not fit for rental in my view and needs to be closed to paying customers

Hello. Unfortunately, you cannot. National park regulations require that dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 10 feet at all times unless within a marked fenced, off-leash area. The closest off-leash area is located at the corner of Highway 93A and Sleepy Hollow Road just outside of the townsite of Jasper.
