Foe a property devoted to pets, I found it quite disturbing how we were avoided by the restaurant hostess and the 2 servrs who were standing at the podium while we were in plain veiw sitting in the chairs next to the main ballroom, we sat there 45 min to an hour before we even got menus and offered us drinks. It wasn't until one of the managers actually noticed us sitting there. He asked us if we have been helped and I said NO... from that point we were approached by server Carl who also said that he was wondering why no one acknowledged us as he had just started his shift. Carl gave us plenty of attention and was very caring to our dog. As we finished we walked by the podium where the three girls and a man in a turbin were standing and we literally were sneered at as well as our dog. We were absolutely astonished with the level of service we recieved by the dining room staff for the price we were paying for our short get away. The following day we had a $90 breakfast that was underwhelming, Leaving the property I had to call #55 to ask for my vehicle and the gentlemen who showed up with it was very apologetic and couldn't explain why I needed to call two times. . My wife enjoys the JPL pool and property so this Is why we come with our dog every year. If it was up to me I would not be back. Being in the Hospitality industry myself I know how important first impressions are, this time I feel that service was a miss. Thank you,

Hotel's Favourite
Prior to going to Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, we stayed at Fairmont Chateau Whistler and my husband didn't want to leave. I assured him that we would love the Jasper Park Lodge just as much, but he was skeptical. Within hours of arriving at the lodge he was a believer. Days prior to arrival we received helpful information from the hotel, and they advised that due to staffing challenges (which so many hotels worldwide are having) they would not be able to provide daily housekeeping. They provided us with a credit to use towards meals, activities, etc. I was so impressed with their pro-active approach and the credit. So many hotels are limiting housekeeping service and not offering any credits, discounts, etc. The hotel and the grounds (especially the lake) look like something out of a movie and when we sent photos many people didn't believe it was real. They also didn't believe that the bear my husband saw while golfing was real but it was and it is a story he will tell his golf buddies for years. Activities - Spend as much time on the lake as you can. You won't be disappointed. We did a pedal boat and had a blast. Golfing - my husband still talking about his round and can see why this is one of Canada's top golf resorts. Horseback Riding - there are stables on the hotel grounds (think it might be owned by a separate company). The ride was great. I did the 60 minute and wish I had signed up for 90 minutes. We went along the river and the guide shared a lot of information about wildlife and living in Jasper. The horses were well cared for and everyone at the stable was safety conscious and helpful. We dined each night on the Patio to enjoy the lake view and the mountains in the distance. Every night we talked about eating in one of the other restaurants, but the food and the view kept us coming back. Caitlin (sp?), our waitress, was one of the best waitresses we have ever had at any restaurant. Energetic, friendly, and provided great service. The pool is awesome and the cute trailer by the pool that serves drinks and food served yummy drinks and snacks and we didn't need to leave our pool chairs. If you are at the hotel when the stretching class is offered, I highly recommend. It is taught by Laurie-Ann who is a former cirque de soleil performer. After hiking, walking the lakeside trail, horseback riding, etc. I needed to stretch, and Laurie-Ann showed us some great ways to stay limber.

We first stayed here on our honeymoon 25 years ago and returned with babies and toddlers. This trip was with one of our college age children and his friend. It started on a bad note. I won't go into details here but the resort worked hard to fix some problems that arose. We had two suites for 7 days and took advantage of all the amenities. The resort is aging and some rooms in need of repairs and updates, but the location and service makes this the only place we stay.

This place is a winter wonderland with the best lake ice skating track I've ever seen. It was spectacular getting to ice skate for a kilometer in one direction with almost nobody else on the ice, and we played shinny on the hockey rink set up in the middle of the lake. Skates, hockey sticks and pucks are free to rent at the Winter Activity Center. As for the hotel, it's like a summer camp for adults environment. The outdoor heated pool is great for lying back and looking at the stars. So much to do here.

Already booking to come back! it’s a truly special place, the food (with multiple options of restaurants) is amazing, the lounge (Emerald) is a great spot to unwind at the end of a day. The spa/pool/hot tub with views to die for. The gym, whilst not huge, has a good range of weights and equipment. Lots of options for activities too inc the Planetarium, Maligne Canyon Ice Walk, ice skating etc But what makes this place really tick is the service, all the staff are so engaging, professional and knowledgable. Big kudos in particular to Michel and Austin in Emerald/Great Hall. If there’s a star of the week/month award these 2 guys deserve it!

The location is great, very pleasant shuttle bus personnel and front desk personnel. Restaurant personnel were also pleasant but very slow! We had to wait excruciating times between visits to the table for drink refills, order taking and getting the check. Loved the area and the accommodations were clean but very dated. While I don’t normally mind a dated feel if clean, the bed was so uncomfortable. Either a very cheap mattress or should’ve been replaced years ago. But the grounds are well preserved. Restaurant staff need to show a bit more attention to the patrons. The food itself was fine.

We celebrated by birthday at JPL and had an amazing time. The temperatures were in the -40 to -50s the entire weekend. We decided we would just stay at the lodge and enjoy all the amenities for the entire weekend. We were thankfully upgraded to a cabin closer to the lodge. The pool and hot tub were closed but the rest of the staff more than made up for it. We enjoyed a couples massage, many visits to the sauna, sushi with Mr Oka, dinner at Orso, room service and drinks in the longue. Everyone made it a really special weekend. Special shout out to Nick, at the Emerald bar for being a great bartender for all of us Oilers fans! James Sally for the great service and laughs. Emily at Orso for amazing expertise and recommendations. And Stephanie and Sydney for the best massages we've ever had. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. And if something fell a little short the staff more than made up for it without us having to ask. So happy we decided to celebrate at the JPL.

The cabins were fantastic, the food was amazing! Ceviche & prawn salad should be a permanent staple on the menu, the staff were wonderful. The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge always does an amazing job of hosting the AFL Winter School. The only thing that I'd suggest needs attention is the pool tables in Tent City, they could use a new set of balls, cues, chalk, and all of the accessories that come with a good game of pool. DO NOT GET RID OF THE TABLES! The blue one is a bit warped, do give the green one some love with it's torn pocket and update the accessories. This is one of my favourite things to do at the conference we attend every year. I hope they continue the tradition of hosting our conference at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge for many more years to come!

The accommodations, service and activities at Jasper Park Lodge never disappoint. We always have a relaxing, enjoyable stay. The resort is a gem hidden away in the mountains and is a real family getaway. The Lodge has many activities including outdoor swimming, hot tubs, games, wine tastings, trivia, & bingo to keep everyone entertained, even if you don't ski.

If it weren’t for the mountains, this would have been a very disappointing trip. Details matter… stained washcloths, dusty room, the mirror in the bathroom was only cleaned half way up, personalized welcome messages times two were addressed to two different guests—not us! The parking spot we were assigned was occupied. The sliding glass door did not close properly allowing a nice cold breeze. Our key cards were deactivated prior to check out. We got locked out of our room while loading our vehicle. A very premium price for a VERY underwhelming stay.
