Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Everyone at Maligne Lodge was kind, friendly and helpful. The room was clean, fresh and very comfortable. The whole experience was very enjoyable. I had many questions about the local area and the staff went out of their way to make sure I understood all the information I needed.

This hotel/accommodation is really good. Both clean and comfortable and in a great location. The staff are lovely, really helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The cafe that is at the side of the hotel offer a great choice of breakfast tasty and value for money. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Most reviews seem to be either Great or Terrible. My experience was ok. We had a 2 bedroom suite for 4 people. It was clean, beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The kitchenette was useful, especially the large fridge and the kettle. We didn't expect to have our own sauna, so that was a bonus. Good location 10 minutes' walk from downtown. The downsides: the main door to the suite overlooked the indoor pool, so the suite smelled strongly of chlorine - we had to leave the windows open. The living area was dark and could do with updating. The bathroom would benefit from some hooks - 4 people's towels got messy with nowhere to change them separately.

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for the service and care me and my wife received in August. Every staff member with whom we came in contact was attentive and kind. We had a wonderful two day stay in a specious suite and I have recommended this Lodge to all of my family and friends. Thank you once again for such a warm hospitality & outstanding service.

Just stayed for one night. Really nice and large rooms. Airco and wifi included. At walking distance from town center. Front rooms give amazing view on the mountains. Staff is super friendly and helpfull! They really helped us out missing transport to Calgary airport. Next to hotel you can have an excellent breakfast for a reasonable price.

Good basic hotel with everything you need including laundry machine, a/c, small frig, hairdryer, good soap, shampoo, etc. Looks like some walls were newly painted. Good cafe onsite. Nothing fancy but clean and pretty quiet considering the age of the property. We needed a last minute room and this was fine.

No Fuss stay, front desk was helpful in giving a change of room at the check in, it wasn't too busy for end of June week. Room was standard as expected with prompt room service as needed. All the main road hotel in jasper face the railway line so mountain/road facing rooms will get to hear and enjoy the train almost 24*7 !!

We had mixed experiences at reception. We Were initially assigned room facing street and parking lot. Then we had another room thanks to the insistence of an interim receptionist on a very intolerant manager towards customers. However, the room was dimly lit and with dated furnishings: many rooms have an incomprehensible view over an indoor swimming pool! Non-existent common areas. Just a few old chairs littered the aisles even in the parking lot! Adjacent cafeteria for lunch and breakfast but with separate administration and low quality services and products. The structure as a whole is similar to an old motel but for 2 nights in a double room we paid $921 without breakfast!

Arrived Canada Indepence Day. The exterior is 1960’s motel 6 but nicely updated. The interior is the real treat. Stayed in a 2 bed unit. Wonderfully furnished kitchen ‘hub’ with real glasses for wine, a hot water kettle, coffee maker, microwave etc. The TV was easy to operate ie one remote that worked! Bathroom had all the amenities including a shower cap and great soaps. The room has two window shades: one for day and one for blackout! Hurrah! I’ve been raving about this place for days! The adjacent Wicked Goat cafe also an delight! Thank you!
