We booked a room for two nights during fall. This is when Jasper is pretty much deserted.

Rooms: The rooms opens to the courtyards. Over the years of dirty boots etc have had its toll on the carpets which appears under the weather and a tad bit smelly. The partition walls a

Good Morning Ram, We have taken careful note of your comments following your recent stay with us in Jasper and certainly appreciate the time you took to submit your observations for our review. I will convey your appreciation for our staff to our team members and we are currently in the process of a deep clean of all our carpets so that you may not experience what you mentioned to us in your note. Once again, thank you for considering us in a favorable light and we look forward to your next visit to Jasper National Park. Regards.

October 19-20, 2018 weekend, room was unclean and musty smelling which should have been a dead give away to put the bags back in my truck and run far away but the bill was already paid. No heat control, several outlets didn’t work and the kettle was also not working so no tea.

Good Morning, As you know, your complaint filed with the provincial authorities immediately resulted in an inspection conducted by the Alberta Health Board. This official inspection occurred the day after our own inspection by our own trained technicians and in both instances, the results were negative in that there were no parasites found in your room or adjoining guest suites. Without verifiable evidence, your complaint was nonetheless treated punctually and seriously but is without merit and your comments are seemingly ill-founded. Such parasites can occur in almost any environment and a National Park is, in case you are not aware of it, home to a wide variety of insects and parasites that may or may not travel extensively with human carriers. Moreover and based on our records of your stay, we were naturally dismayed that the issues you raised were not brought to our immediate attention at any time over the course of your stay or upon check-out. Obviously, you have personally chosen not to return to our establishment and that is unfortunate but to make such accusations without basis is unwarranted. Regards.

Staff was friendly. Room smelled bad. The carpet looked dirty. The room was very small. Wall sockets were so loose we couldn’t charge cell phones and iPads. The shower has moldy grout. There were bursts of very cold, and very hot, water from the shower. We could hear other guests

Hello - Maybe this is a strange request / question, but I'm backpacking the Great Divide Trail this summer (all 1200 km over 2 months) with my Labrador Retriever, "Opus". Unfortunately, a four day stretch of the trail near Jasper isn't dog friendly, and I need to find a dog-sitter from about Aug 7-10. It seems there are no professional dog-sitter services in Jasper. I was wondering if the Maligne Lodge would be amenable to a canine guest, or if a human guest at the lodge would consider a canine in their room? She is very friendly and requires little more than food and water twice a day and an occasional pat on the head or belly rub. I'd certainly be willing to pay a good rate for someone to watch my furry friend while I'm out on my own. I would pass by the Maligne Lodge on the third day of the four day stretch and could check on her then.
I do not know if that would be possible. I would contact the lodge itself. They are very pet friendly so may know someone who would be able to help you out!

Hello: I have booked the Maligne Lodge for May 2nd till the 4th. We have our dog travelling with us. While I understand there is an additional charge for pets, the site does not specify the amount. Please could someone advise what the charges for the dog would be? She's a ruff collie (approx. 40-45 pounds). Thanks
I'm not sure of the cost. I believe it is not a large amount. Friends contacted them directly and were given the details.

Hi, We are coming to Hinton tomorrow ( Sunday 28th June '15) and really keen to see the Beaver boardwalk area. Your fame has travelled, we are Australians and have the surname "Beaver, so especially relevant for us. May I please ask what time of the day are you most likely to actually see the Beavers ? We are cycling from Edson, so hope to be there about 1pm, then leaving the next morning ( early) to cycle to Jasper. We shall try and time our visit to the Beaver Boardwalk to suit the Beavers (the animals that is !) With many thanks Ross Beaver.
Hello and welcome to Canada Beaver Family Beavers are active mainly at night, but occasionally can be seen out and about during the day. The best time to see beavers is at dusk, i.e. about an hour before darkness or at sun up early in the morning.
