We stayed here for 3 nights in September. Our room was located in the basement and everyone staying in that guest house walked past our windows, which was noisy and unpleasant. Due to some regulations the guests were not allowed to use the stove in the kitchen. We brought quite

The most unpleasant of all was to come to know upon reaching that we are going to stay in a basement room for our 2 day stay! I mean we all want to have some views through our window when we are in a place like Jasper. Secondly, the doors didn't have a lock, they had a security

We stayed at 804 Miette Guest house for two nights. Room was clean and comfortable. There was a kitchen we shared with other guests which was well kept. The owner waited for us for late arrival and was very helpful. Room was a bit noisy as we could hear footsteps from other

Required Credit Card to hold the booking but then only wanted cash and no receipt given. Dodgy? Beware that it is not a B&B as no breakfast was provided. Bed cover was way too hot. Did have shared kitchen and laundry facility

Dear Sir, We are sorry if our cash only policy was inconvenient and we apologize if you did not get your receipt. We absolutely do provide receipts to our guests and would have been very happy to print you one before your departure if you had of asked. I am able to send you one by email or courier if you would be so kind as to contact us with your reservation date and name. We like so many small independent guest houses and B&Bs here in Jasper do not accept credit cards as the the cost is too high for such small seasonal enterprise and those costs would have to be shared by our customers. Our advertisements, internet listings and booking confirmations all clearly state the terms and policies of our service and we do everything we can to inform our guests of this policy. Again, we are sorry if you did not fully understand that. This is also the case in regards to breakfast. We are clearly advertised as a guest house without breakfast service and apologize if you did not realize at the time of your booking. We are grateful that you appreciate our cleanliness and the care we put into our guest house but we are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us more. I hope the rest of your Canadian Rockies experience was enjoyable and thank you for your feedback.

We had a little choice but to stay here owning to the fact that it was the middle of peak season & accommodation in Jasper was completely sold out. The owner was quick to capitalize on the situation & jacked up the room rate to $200/night. You enter the old house around the

Dear Sir, We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us on July 6th. I can assure you that we work diligently to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests. It is unfortunate that you have omitted key details from your experience that cause me to question your motivation for such a review. First of all, we were gracious about your late arrival at 9pm and it was evident by your rudeness that you were not impressed with the accommodations provided to you from the moment you arrived. These rooms were booked and paid for NOT by you, but by your employer whom like most of our paying customers is very satisfied with the accommodations we offer and the actual rate of $120 per night. In fact your benefactor has a long history with us and a great many of his clients have very much enjoyed our hospitality and left us glowing reviews. I assure you He was quite embarrassed by your reprehensible conduct and has made every effort to pay for your damages. The security of the premises as you have put to questioned must not be so inadequate if the door was locked upon your return to the house at 4:30am after a party at a local nightclub. Contrary to your claim, you made no effort to contact us. I can only question your state of being at that time if you were unable, unwilling or too embarrassed to knock on the front door as I live upstairs. You certainly had my personal contact as we had conversed via SMS previous to his arrival. I do not know why you chose to in fact enter your room via a window that you left unlocked after you checked in, a small detail that was omitted from your story. But In doing so you managed to damage the screen you had to remove with force and disturb the other paying guests whom had very good reason to complain to me about the disturbance the next day. As serious a claim as you make It's curious that none of these events were worth mentioning in person before your departure. In fact, our staff saw you off that morning yet you made no mention of the events or any complaints then in person. I find it shameful and cowardly that you could not own up to the damages you incurred yet have the gall to use the incident in an attempt to defame our good name and reputation. The truth is we have spared no effort to insure that our guests are comfortable and secure, as is evident by the many positive reviews that contradict your supposed experience. Perhaps We should Thank you for your compliments regarding the cleanliness of our property and the comfort of our beds, however, you may one day regret that your poor judgement will prevent us from welcoming you back to stay with us again.

"If you have to choose this one, better ask if you are getting room on ground floor or basement."
"The "family" room we stayed in was very roomy. It was in a basement, but with smaller windows near ceiling. Only had a quick look into a double room, and it looked like it might have been small and crowded with no window, so I would advise paying a little xtra for the family room if it's available."
"I had the biggest unit downstairs, cosy, warm shower. Quiet."
"If You stay in basement be ready to weak up when the owners use the restroom,it's like a little falls behind the walls."
"Rooms 1 and 2 are on the ground floor, the others are in the basement."
