Newer hotel right off the highway. Even-numbered rooms face the highway - loud trucks can be heard. Internet is good.
Kitchenette needs some items: large cutting knife, steak knives, paper towel, colander. There is only one med pot and one med frying pan.
Bathroom has an eye opening automatic light that comes on if you use the facilities in the middle of the night (I put black tape over the sensor). No bar soap, liquid soap only. Beds are comfortable.
Room thermostat is constantly overriding(17 deg) my set HOLD temperature of 23 deg.

We were a little concerned travelling with the Covid threat but we never felt at all concerned at this property. The elevators were quick and we never found ourself waiting for one, even though it was limited to one couple or family group at a time. The king room was large and comfortable and we liked the oversized shower as compared to a tub combo. We also enjoyed the bar off the lobby in the breakfast area and found the prices were reasonable. Overall clean facilities that never made us feel at risk. We will stay here again.

Good location around the area we wanted to be. This hotel is new and clean. The airconditioning seems too powerful or blows directly onto the bed possibly due to its location below the window facing the bed. We had to cover the vent with a towel and adjust the temperature down also. Breakfast was complimentary with choice of muffins, pancakes, fruits and coffee and juices. Nice and convenient place to stay.

Hotel was clean and well organized. Front desk staff were friendly. Room had very good wifi connectivity and lots of plug in options. Good lighting in the room and I especially appreciated that a) the bathroom had a fan and b) we controlled our own heat and cooling. The in-room fridge/freezer is a good size and very appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and the shower (size and water pressure) was excellent. The provision of filtered water and coffee available all day off of the front desk was very appreciated. Parking spots are fairly small so anything bigger than a car had a tight fit and some pick up trucks ended up taking two spaces. I would recommend to Hotel Management to disable the elevator bell (that dings when the elevator has arrived at the floor) as its fairly loud and could be easily heard throughout the night despite our room being at the end of the hall. We used the hot tub and while I initially thought the temperature could be a bit warmer, it ended up being the perfect temperature to allow us to not get overheated.

I reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights at Microtel Kelowna. To reserve the rooms I called the hotel directly and used my credit card to hold them. When I arrived at 3.00 pm, on the day I was scheduled to arrive, I was told there was a mistake in my reservation (aka they overbooked themselves) and my rooms were not available. Have you ever tried to find a room in Kelowna on a long weekend (or anywhere) at the last minute? Yes, you guessed it - I paid through the nose for 2 rooms. In fact I ended up paying $600 more! But I felt lucky after driving all the way to Kelowna (dusty tired and cranky) to find 2 rooms in a hotel. Soooo...my message to you is this: ifr you reserve at this hotel, you do so at your own risk.

When I came unglued that the hotel was not honoring my reservation, the management did not try in any way to find me and my family alternate accommodations. In fact, the young man at the desk thought it was quite funny and had to suppress his grin. The Manager kept saying his staff person made a mistake and he was going to fire her (yah ok - like I was born yesterday). Such shady management - and I say once again: if you feel like gambling then book at this hotel. If you'd like a hotel that appreciates your patronage then I recommend looking elsewhere.

Dear Mrs. Sugars, We at Microtel Inn & Suites Kelowna sincerely apologize that you had a negative experience with the reservation of your room. After further investigation, your provided confirmation was made for a single room with two beds which was honored upon your arrival. Given that there was a miscommunication between our staff and yourself we had offered a second room free of charge for your second-night stay. This offer was refused and you decided to stay elsewhere. Your experience has led us to take steps to better communicate with our guests in the future. Thank you for making us better. We hope to serve you in the future. -Jason (GM)

This is a newer hotel in Kelowna, right along BC 97 near the intersection with BC 33. The rooms are clean, and the hotel's enhanced pandemic protocols are evident - hand sanitizers in common areas. Breakfast is surprisingly not bagged, as in most hotels now because of the pandemic. It's set up more like a pantry, with sanitizers in the food counters. There's a pancake maker, which is a pleasant surprise since a lot of the hotels with breakfast no longer offer this breakfast favorite since the pandemic began. Service is very good as well.

This is a clean hotel and probably because it is just 1 year old, so it is failry new. The rooms are still clean and the carpets are still clean. We went when the face mask policy was no longer in effect and it was surprising to see more than 85% of the guests without masks so soon especially when they were all at the breakfast station. No one sanitized their hands prior to approaching the breakfast station. But it is a good thing that most of the food items were pre-packaged (except the fresh fruit like bananas, apples, oranges....we stayed away from that due to people touching them and putting it back). But they had pancake machine, juice machine, yogurt, muffins, cereal, and granola bars, so good to take some if you plan to go on a hike or an outting at the beach. This holel is good for a family but the parking lot is small, so it will eventually get packed and you may need to park on the street, but that never happened to us when we were there.

Stayed for three nights in an efficiency suite to avoid having to eat out. The room was tidy. However the kitchen area was not. The previous guests coffee pot was not cleaned out. The utensils also had to be washed before we could use them. The bare minimum required to call it a kitchen was evident.
The breakfast area was tidy. Breakfast was cold cereal, oatmeal or machine made pancakes. Yogurt and prepackaged muffins. Some fresh fruit. It didn’t appear anyone cleaned tables in the breakfast area after use.
The pool area was absolutely filthy. Of the three consecutive days we used the pool and hot tub the same filthy floor complete with long strings of black hair, what looked like dirt or mud as well. Obviously the area is not cleaned with any regularity. Towels were provided.
Front desk checkin was very friendly.
Check out was borderline rude and indifferent. No questions asked on how our stay was.
We will not return here. Kelowna offers many hotel options. Avoid this place despite its young age.

I stayed here with my family for one night. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The rooms were a very reasonable price especially for the two bedroom. The pool is shallow but isn’t super cold and they had life jackets for little ones. The free breakfast had lots of different items to choose from including hot pancakes. Our room was near there road and we didn’t find it to noisy.
However there were some cons to staying here. Our room had a table for eating however there was no chairs to sit at it. The table mainly took up space in the small living room/kitchen area. Also the bathroom only had a shower no tub. This wouldn’t be to much of an issue if the shower had was removable. It made washing kids after the pool just a bit harder. The biggest issue was the blackout blinds in one of the bedrooms. It doesn’t cover the whole window so it lets in quiet a bit of light from the street at night and lots of sun in the morning. Both my kids were up early because it was so bright in the room. Also I noticed there was no dishwasher soap for the dishwasher but maybe I just had to ask the from desk. And our washing sponge was still soaking wet from someone else.
We’d definitely stay again but maybe bring something to cover up the window.

pet friendly hotel which is nice for some but not if you don't like dogs or you are allergic. Very nice rooms, clean. Lacking towel bars in the bathroom so no place to hang your towels if you want them to dry was a bit annoying. Bring your own soap/shampoo the stuff in the hotel was horrible smelling
Lots of traffic on road so room is noisy
