This was our second time here on a timeshare exchange. It's not the fanciest resort but it's comfortable. We had a studio this time which wasn't as small as I feared it would be. The kitchen was small but was workable. A hot plate and electric frying pan were provided so we were able to have all of our meals in. Unfortunately due to Covid the pools were not open. The resort was quiet, I think there was only one other couple in our condo building. It's about a 30 min drive to downtown Kelowna but only 10 minutes from Lake Country which is very scenic and quiet. Peachland and Summerland are only an hour away and are worth the drive. It's disappointing there isn't free wi-fi in the rooms, as most motels have it included these days.

Thank you for reviewing your stay. Your thoughtful comments are appreciated. The resort continues to follow the recommendations of public health officials. We hope you'll come again when things are better and we're able to fully open all amenities.

The unit we stayed in was fresh out of the 1980's... talking green floor in the kitchen, old fashioned cabinets that look like they were in my kitchen as a child. bathtub was old and the water from that smelled a little funky.
Everything (other than the water) was cosmetic and did not impact our stay. The villa was spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed (we stayed for two nights and did not end up cooking). Tons off amenities that we did not get a chance to take advantage of due to our short stay (multiple pools, playground, shuffleboard, tennis). Front desk staff was friendly.
Location was quiet, everything was a drive to get to as we were on the outskirts. It was a great location for the airport which was our main reason for choosing to come to Kelowna but we definietly enoyed our time in the city

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. Holiday Park Resort does not have access to municipal water so our water comes from a well. Odor is caused by minerals in the water. We're pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and hope you'll come again.

We happened upon this resort for 4 days when we had a change of plans and we totally lucked out. We stayed in site 504 with our RV which had nice trees and was very quiet. Close to the pool, showers and laundry. People live here full time so it is a very well taken care of resort. Our spot was fully paved and graveled which we liked - no dirt or weeds. The picnic table was new. The pools are beautiful and overall I can see why people choose to live here full time. There are condos and modular homes and RVs converted to homes. The reason I gave a 4 is because Duck Lake isn’t anywhere we wanted to spend time - it’s quite unappealing and you cannot swim. We didn’t want to put the kayaks in. This is no fault of the resort - just a heads up to travelers who are looking for a lake. There are a few kids here but this is primarily an adult resort.

I had the unfortunate experience of staying in a ‘condo’ at this resort for almost two weeks. The place is filthy and not at all how it is described. I ended up with bug bites all over my body and I’m assuming that it was bed bugs. Everything is very old and the room was smelly, including the pillows on the bed. I slept with bath towels over the pillows to disguise the smell. No health standards despite the pandemic. During my two week stay the room was never cleaned and if you want your sheets changed you have to request. Had to pay 65 dollars for internet and the connection was terrible. The place should be inspected by health and shut down. I did not swim in the indoor pool as I imagined that the health standards would have been similar to the rooms. The walls are very thin. The couple next door had a dog that chewed in a squeaky toy constantly and I could hear it through the walls. Stay away from this place.

The 3br 2ba unit we booked was very spacious. The community it's in is a mobile home park complete with community garden and several amenities building/tennis courts. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, and there is a nearby lake and a little golf course. Laundry is coin-op in a common area and boosted wifi can be purchased at a low cost. There were 2 pools open at the time we went and i wish the booking system is modified such that you have a dedicated timeslot instead of having more people than allowed in the pool and alternating entry and exit on a voluntary basis.
Still enjoyed the ambience of the place..it has a relaxed feel of retirement 😉

Lets be honest here! This is a gated retirement community with a few RV spots between trailers, park models and condominiums. We were looking for a true campground/ rv resort traveling in our Class C motorhome.

The staff were courteous and hospitable which was about the only bright spot to this location. To describe this place as a "RV resort" is untrue. You are greeted by a burnt out former restaurant, gates and sign in area. After you travel down very narrow roads to your RV pad, you will have ZERO privacy, tight turns and NO grass on spaces for pets.

The few trees, narrow roads, and tiny spaces shows that this place was designed to max out every inch of space for profit, and not for enjoyment. The continuous flow of vehicles, golf carts, delivery vehicles, for the hundreds of residents living here year round make any walk around this place a challenge. With dogs, almost impossible. Due to covid, most areas were shut down, which seemed to include the not working cable boxes for television, and extremely slow WiFi ($28.00 extra charge) for our three days.

With the close proximity to other trailers, and RV's and the lack of services, the smells, no grass, lack of privacy, few areas to walk, we left the next day! This is absolutely the most crowded park we have ever stayed at. It is located beside the busy highway 97 between Kelowna and Vernon, with constant traffic, and on the approach for runway 16 at Kelowna International Airport, so you are right under the flight path. Best of luck attempting to sleep in. You may wish to pass on this place!

It is Holiday Park Resort's primary response to ensure that our guests have a wonderful experience when visiting. It is unfortunate we cannot always satisfy every customer. It appears that you stayed with us shortly after the devastating fire that took the store and restaurant. The resort has now opened The Blue Schooner restaurant at the Activity Center. Due to Covid-19 affecting Snowbird travel to the US, it has been an exceptionally busy fall/winter. Should you have any concerns or questions our General Manager, President/Team Coach or management support staff are here to help. Please feel free to contact us.

We were there for five days for a curling tournament in the area. We rented a peak home which is a mobile home; it was so clean and comfortable. This was better than a hotel as it felt more like home and more spacious than a hotel room; I think it is less expensive too. I wished I had brought the kids here when they were younger as there are a lot of swimming pool and other activities. The country cafe on site was very good with homemade food, especially the lemon meringue pie and carrot cake. The Italian kitchen was a bit more expensive. The only complaint I have is the water in the mobile home as it smells a bit chemical. I would love to come back.

Quiet. When I am looking for a place to get away I want a quiet place. There are many facilities and there are other facilities within 10-20 minutes by car. It is on a lake, but you can't swim in the lake because of the birds. (There are 3 pools.) You can boat on it and there are no power boat rentals. Woods Lake is close by for those activities. The staff and even residents (seniors that live in RVs) are friendly.

The resort is excellent but the unit was very outdated. The room was very dark, even though there is natural light in the bathroom. It would be appreciated if a channel guide was provided with channel, affiliation and location of broadcast. The carpet was dirty, and we had to wear shoes while in the unit. Update, update, update.....

Holiday Park Resort is located on 415 Commonwealth Road at the north end of Kelowna. It is a 17 km drive to downtown Kelowna.

Can you swim in the lake?
Kelowna, Canada11 contributions
In the past, yes you can swim - but it's recommended that you towel off after getting out of the water due to the ducks and geese that make Duck Lake their home. That's the advice for all small lakes in the Okanagan. However, this year our beach is closed due to the unusually heavy flooding that hit the whole region. We do have 4 pools and 3 hot tubs and there are other lakes nearby.

we have rented a studio room, does it have cooking utensils and dishes, is there a barbecue that can be used
Kelowna, Canada11 contributions
Thank you for your inquiry. The studio units have cooking utensils and dishes. They are equipped with a microwave oven, two burner hot plate, toaster, electric frying pan, coffee maker, electric kettle and bar size fridge. There's a barbecue available for your use in the outdoor common area close to your studio.
