We stayed on the ground floor at the back of the hotel, with a pet. I could hear a lady in the next room talking on her phone but she was likely talking loud, only until about 8 pm. It was very quiet after that. The drawers in the dresser/desk didn't work well, stuck, but I…
Had a very enjoyable stay, the hotel is older but well kept. The staff very friendly and helpful. This is where I usually stay in Nanaimo. The location is good, easy to find and access. Overall, a good place to stay.
Not a good area of town. Rooms are beyond worn. Queen bed more of a short double. Bathroom door was rotting. I will say the breakfast was not the worst. There is only a few tables so I saw many people leave.
A great average hotel . I had stayed last year as well with a similar experience. The appearance did worry me , kinda run down and the sign light was out. This year it was still out. Lol. Just don't count on much for breakfast.
Had a great time to Nanaimo travalodge with grandkids! Our room was clean and beds were so comfortable.Lisa at front deskcheck in is always friendly and helpful, she gave us great ideas and places to see in Nanaimo.with the kids!
"Great for family"
"Try to get a room that is further from the gas station on the divergence of the roads."
"Make sure you ask for 3rd floor, the elevator does not have a 2nd floor stop."
"the top floor was quiet - only the room doors make noise (a lot, to be fair, but that's the guests' fault for dropping/slamming them)"
"Ask for a room facing away from the busy road in front of the hotel"
