Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel did not meet our expectations, the beds where good. We came from the BC ferry and wanted to sleep. The breakfast was a bit difficult as the room was not to big for all the guests. Parking was not possible when we arrived LPM..

Basic but comfy for a night stopover. We could not work out th air conditiong - but this was an issue all through our road trip, as all our accommodations differed. Comfortable beds and plenty of room in the bathroom.

Well, we booked the hotel to be near the ferry terminal. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, but old. It needs some remodeling soon. Also, no air conditioning was available. It was ok for us due to the temperatures, but I don't want to stay there in July or August. The reason why I review the stay as poor is that there was a group of idiots (sorry, have to call them that) in a lot of rooms on our floor who made some sort of party at night. They were clearly totally drunk and were making a lot of noise. We weren't able to sleep. After calling the front desk the noise stopped about half an hour later, but when I have a bunch of young people booking several rooms, as a hotel I would put other guests on a different floor. We won't be back. Can't recommend it.

The most consistently friendly and accommodating staff. The continental breakfast was decent. Very clean and comfortable rooms. But the best thing about the Pacific Inn truly is the exceptionally friendly staff. It’s why we keep coming back.

Hotel options in Prince Rupert are limited so we had hoped this would be a decent option for a decent price. Service was fine but that’s about where it ended for me. As soon as we parked, there was a staff member in the “smoking area” created by moving some hotel couches to a parking spot in the underground who was apparently fighting with someone on her phone and the first words we heard were her shouting out the “f bomb”. Not exactly a great first impression. Our view consisted of the graffiti wall of the building next door, the room wasn’t exceptionally clean and everything there was VERY dated. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. The area seemed very sketchy and we were woken up by random yells and fights in the back throughout the night. We worried about our vehicle in the unsecured underground parking.

A disaster right from the get-go. We arrived late after taking the Inside Passage ferry and the front desk clerk yelled at us to park across the street at the unsecured supermarket parking lot. We asked if we could park in the hotel handicapped parking space to unload and were told “NO!” The room we got was NOT renovated, the (decorative) pillow cases and carpet were filthy and the view was of a dumpster in the alley . There was no air conditioning and the windows had no screens, so we sweated it out with the windows closed. There was screaming coming from a group down the alley, so windows closed was probably a good idea anyway. To top it all off, it was impossible to turn on the shower. STAY AWAY.

Stayed here while in town for work. The hotel is a little dated and worn, but clean and quiet. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Underground parking was nice to get out of rain. Will stay here again.

I booked the room for a friend, the friend arrived and the hotel said the room was not ready yet despite my friend being extremely tired and requesting an early check in. The hotel refused to help. when my friend left, at that point they offered a room as it was ready. It was too late by then. Since I paid for the hotel prior to arriving, the hotel will not offer a refund, and their response was "even if your house was on fire" or no matter the reason, they will not refund your money. Unfair practice. Beware
