Loved the hotel, the staff was wonderful, the room was clean, comfy and the bathroom was pretty spacious and well stocked. The location is close to everything - Robson shopping, food, museums etc My only complaint was the inconvenience of having to walk across the lobby to get to the pool/gym instead of being able to ride straight down the...

What an absolutely grand hotel, with amazing and helpful staff. Bright, clean, elegant.. Very close to all manners of shopping and food.. My two bedroom suite was absolutely stunning, complete with full cooking facilities. The hotel boasts wonderful facilities; full service spa, restaurant and lounge, and a little coffee and news stand. If you don't feel like having breakfast in...

Excellent corporate stay, good service, hotel car for close-by runs. Room service is so-so, but very expensive, spa is excellent but very expensive, it can be noisy so ask for a high room, I prefer a corner-- for the space. I recommend it for stays a week or longer.

Had a last minute meeting in Vancouver that I needed to fly in for, and was pleasantly surprised at the Sutton Place Hotel. I had no idea what to expect, as I just need a room to sleep, but it turned out to be a nice, realizing stay. The hotel is well situated, and the staff was superb. The bed...

From the moment of arrival through to checkout days later our experience was exceptional! This hotel is located right in the heart of everything good, Robson St a moment walk away has you in prime shopping and restaurant location. The rooms are clean, well appointed and spacious, the beds were heavenly comfortable equal only to the legendary Aria in Vegas!...

Compared to virtually every other hotel I have ever stayed at (except a few resorts in Las Vegas), the Sutton place has the best gym BY FAR. It has the usual treadmills, exercise bikes, steppers, etc...But it also has a ton of free weights. The room is a bit cramped as they crammed in a lot of equipment and a...

After a long drive, this was the perfect place to check in. Wonderful service from valet, bell boys, front desk and restaurant staff. Comfy beds and great views from the rooms. I would not hesitate to stay here again and will next time I'm at the coast

My husband and I went on a couples trip with 3 other couples this last weekend and we loved this hotel! It was right in the middle of everything. Very close to everything we had planned on visiting. The service we received from the staff was excellent! The only thing I could say is they need to update their bathrooms...

Our stay at The Sutton Place Hotel was a really great experience. On arrival the staff was very nice and welcoming. The room was classic hotel style, tastefully decorated and comfortable. We thought the bed was fantastic, always an important feature I think. We had a nice view from floor 18 and it was also quiet which is nice. The...

I've started here a few times for a near-staycation experience and the hotel is to be recommended, especially given some of the low season deals that show up. While it lack some of the glitz of the newer hotels closer to the Waterfront, the Sutton Place still provides very comfortable accommodations on the intersection between the CBD, residential West End,...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
