Guiness, we spent a lovely time at Grey Point Guest House. Georgia, Hugh and Shelby were lovely hosts. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is amazing and wonderful. Thanks again for everything. See you hope soon again.

Thank you for your warm review of PGGH. Shelby loved the honorable mention too. It was so pleasant and interesting having you both with us both times. We learned a lot from you and we too are hoping that we will see you again soon - maybe closer to your part of the world. Best wishes, from Hugh, Georgia &...

Spent 4 days with hosts Georgia and Hugh; quite delightful. Service was above and beyond, breakfast was delicious, house is charming. Very clean and quiet location, away from the bustle of downtown, yet only a 20 minute bus ride (or bicycle). Very relaxing, yet accommodating to different schedules. I'll be back.

We recently had 2 nights here. Hugh and Georgia were great hosts full of great tips on where to visit along with tourist traps to avoid! Breakfast was really good and you could book a time to suit as they have 2 sittings each morning. It was really nice to sit with other guests and exchange stories and information with...

We spent two nights in this charming, beautifully maintained 1920s era home. Our second-floor room (Caledonia) proved to be large and immaculate with nice wood furniture and a TV. The closet held bathrobes and slippers for guests. Though a counter with sink was in one corner of the room, there was no bathroom in this room. Our private bathroom was...

I stayed here for three and a half weeks due to my daughter being at UBC hospital. I changed rooms a few times and they were all delightful, comfortable and very clean. The bus stop was steps away which was very handy for me travelling each day to UBC. Georgia and Hugh are exceptional hosts, very caring and asked each...

My first visit to Vancouver, out to see my daughter who recently moved there. Needed accommodation close by. I stayed in the IONA Garden Suite, a quaint and lovely little 'apartment' with sitting area, 'fireplace' and TV, a well equipped kitchen, 4 piece bath and a very comfortable rest in the seperate bedroom. The pictures on line are accurate. It...

I stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Vancouver for work. The location of the Point Grey is great and the house itself is beautiful. Breakfast was good and she was very accommodating in terms of having it at different times the two mornings because of my schedule. I stayed in the Albion Room, which was extremely spacious....

Our son moved into an apartment on Broadway and this was the nearest accommodation available. The B&B is in a circa 1930's large home on West 10th. The room we had faced onto the street which was one detraction - the ambient street noisy from a busy thoroughfare. The other detraction is that I would have preferred a King sized...

Hello and thank you very much for your candid but positive review of your stay at our guest house. We wish we could mute the traffic sounds from 10 Avenue, but next time please request ahead so that we can ensure you have a quiet location in the house (with a king bed possibly). As you know this is a...

Do yourself a favor and get out of downtown...rent the basement suite of Hugh and Georgia's Guest house and do your own thing...or rent a room and get a lovely breakfast too. The home is nicely furnished and cosy and comfortable, a large living room area to relax in or if you happen to be there in the summer, a...

Staying in West Point Grey

Neighbourhood Profile
West Point Grey
West Point Grey is one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods, especially known for its easygoing and admired beachfronts. Locals crowd the Spanish Banks and Jericho Beach, especially in the summer, where a sprawling view of the English Bay awaits. The central village is an oasis of sovereign shops, many of them in local operation for years. The neighbourhood has a more personal feeling to it, and can be a wonderful and much-needed break from the bustle of big-city life, being a little haven of peace and quiet with an almost village temperament in the heart of Vancouver.
