Stayed one night at Moda Hotel in february. Booked a king bed room and the photographs on the website looked clean and trendy. Upon check-in it was noted that the elevator was under service for the rest of the month. As we were given a room on second floor, that was no issue walking up one flight of stairs to...

Although this is an older hotel it is clean and has adequate facilities. The free breakfast that came with our room was good. You were able to order from the menu. The only "surprise" was that decaf coffee was not include but regular was. My friends were taken back by this charge. We could easily walk to the Bay and...

The hotel has the location going for it, however the bed and sheets left a lot to be desired. The bed was not comfortable and the sheets seemed to be so starched they didn't even mold around you. Small rooms, older finishing's. Okay for a short one night stay where we spent very little room in the hotel, however for...

If you want a well priced and chic style hotel ideally located in he heart of the Entertainment District, this is it. It was a "Staycation" for us, off to see Kinky Boots and entertain friends beforehand in our suite. We found the room (recommend the suite!) was exactly as shown on the web site, the bathroom probably better than...

This is hotel is directly across the street from the main entrance to the Orpheum ... no other hotel could be as convenient for that venue. Staff were absolutely outstanding -- they could not have been more helpful and friendly. Five stars for service. Yes, the building is old and the rooms are small, but everything was clean and comfortable,...

nice and central location. average as I would expect a 3 stars to be. Small room and small and old bathroom. Was just ok for 2 nights. I did not have breakfast there so I can't evaluate. Was very well located and that was the reason for my choice.

I just spent two nights at Moda for business travel. First the pros: friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast @ Cibo, cool room with character, great location that is walking distance to everything, good rate. Now the cons: the elevator is currently out of commission for over a month (however, management nicely comped our breakfast when we approached them), my...

The convenient and inexpensive parking is this hotel's best quality. The room rates are inexpensive but probably not a good value. The location is good if you are there for an nearby entertainment venue and plan to get wasted and walk the streets howling all night like your fellow revelers. Otherwise, budget hotels in other neighborhoods would be a better...

Luckily we were only here for a night, this place is pretty run down and very average! Our room had a terrible smell that lasted the whole time we were there, the bed wasn't comfortable and the bathroom needed an upgrade, the shower hose was spitting water. We were that happy to stay but it was only a night, but...

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
