It was a good experience, location was great for shopping and walking distance to Robson St where all the restaurants and smaller shop are located and easy access to transportation like the sky train to the airport it's basically the hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver

The hotel is nice but except for the lovely bell man who has been with the company 33 years and was a real gem of a kind person, he is the only person who went out of his way to speak to me or make me feel comfortable. That was at the end of a 5 day stay. Hotel is...

Although the hotel is an older hotel, the room and hotel had it's charm. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was awesome, many amenities in close proximity! The waterfront and walking trails are just a few blocks away. Very enjoyable stay, and I would definitely stay at this hotel in the future. I look forward to it!

I just spent two nights at the Metropolitan Hotel in Vancouver for business. I have stayed at many hotels in Vancouver and would definitely go back to the Metropolitan. The staff were very inviting, efficient, and kind. The lobby decor is beautiful. Although the room was a bit outdated the extras made up for this. The king bed was super...

Dear denisesB7905NG, Thank you for taking the time for sharing your feedback on Tripadvisor. Your patronage is pivotal to our present/future success and wanted to reach out to say thank you. This hotel definitely needs a refresh/revamp. Beds were comfy and staff was nice (bellman!), but the rooms look old, furniture was damaged, carpet was coming off the floor, there was hair in my bath at check in.

I stayed here for only one night, but was impressed with the property overall. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool and being close to the cruise terminal. There are lots of great nearby restaurants. All the service personnel we interacted with gave off good vibes and were there when we needed them to be. I was using an Expedia award...

really appreciated the size of the room - lots of space, loved there was a window that opened and the pillows were a dream. somewhat dated décor/building, street noise should be expected. you really can't beat the location for a conference.

Third time there. Whilst staff are even better, the Hotel facilities slip Year on Year. Gym and pool are not good enough. Gym is a cubby hole. Pool has bikes around outside. Time to do something. Rooms are tired. Great position though...

This hotel offers more of a boutique style accommodation. Staff is always very friendly and professional. Love the unique room layouts. DIVA lunge offers daily happy hour specials and is a perfect stop after work or shopping. Centrally located in the heart of downtown. Very accessible by different transportation means.

Great location. Good price point for government rates (not sure about regular pricing). The rooms are a bit dated (think old style showers with tinted glass!) but everything was very clean. Watch for security deposit charged at check-in (was never mentioned).

Hello FrenchGoldfish Thank you for your review. It is nice to hear that you had a pleasant stay with us. As for the security deposit, this is standard with most hotels to take in case things are charged to the room (room service etc). And if you do not charge anything to the hotel, you are refunded your deposit. Thank...

Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
