I’d only give this 3 stars largely due to the lack of facilities either in the room or in common areas. That aside the rooms were clean and well presented and the hotel is close to good breakfast and dining venues - see report in...More
Stayed at the Barclay with my partner for 4 nights. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Doesn’t look that fancy from the outside but as you walk in through the front doors you see beautiful marble floors and a big chandelier. Apparently there is no lift...More
I was always greeted by friendly staff and was upgraded to a larger room, which was nice.
The room was very spacious and comfortable, looked recently renovated (especially the bathroom).

Barclay hotel is located on Robson street very close to many restaurants and shopping area. Check in was fast. The hotel does not have a lift so anybody with mobility problem should ask for ground floor room. We did not notice any ramp for people...More
Robson Street is a shopper's paradise. Whether a window shopper or a serious trendsetter, a fashionista or a dabbler, the crowd of independent boutiques, quirky one-off shops, and well-known luxury brands on Robson Street have something to cater for every itch in your wallet. As a result, it draws a diverse crowd, and the people-watching along this famous walking thoroughfare is a primary attraction. In between the
clothing shops both high-street and budget-friendly are a number of cafes to lay down your load, as well as numerous specialty stores ranging in their wares from music, to art, to city souvenirs. Known as "Vancouver's Runway," if a new trend is on the rise, you'd spot it here first.

Stayed at the Barclay Hotel at the end of May. We had a non smoking room, but I do not know if all the hotel is non smoking. Parking is available in the car park almost next door at a cost of $20 per night, but cars have to be moved by 11:am unless you pay another $20, which takes you through to 11:00 am the following day.
