Close to everything we wanted to do downtown. Room was more than adequate. Dinner menu was outside our budget but breakfast and lunch was great. Cafe could have offered more than just snacks. Beds were comfortable.

The location of the hotel is quite good. The room is too noisy inside the hotel. The room rate should be less expensive and should include breakfast. The reservation team is very friendly and helpful.

Great location and easy access to bus and hop on hop off. Room was in need of upgrading to better carpeting and in need of painting badly. Would possibly return if the upgrades were done. The sights of Vancouver from this location were plentiful.

Enjoyed the space after cruise ship cabin. Full kitchen and grocery nearby. Free shuttle bus stop to Capilano suspension bridge across the street. Less homeless and street people in the area. Hospital next door meant occasional ambulance sirens but not too bad on the 23rd floor. Great concierge tips and suggestions. Small, slow elevators. Spotty maid service. AC and heat...

Excellent room and reasonable price (through Expedia). A very nice spa center (though unfortunately I did not have time to take advantage.) The hotel is located across the Wall Center. Breakfast is not included. Room service breakfast is OK (though when delivered my french toast was a bit cold). The coffee shop is good, but it does not offer meaningful...

Good, convenient location. Rooms spacious and well equipped - even including a foot spa. Bed needs some attention though as it is too hard and water pressure in shower is just a little more than a trickle. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Perfectly located city hotel close to local convenience shops and all tourist attractions. Large, older style rooms but very clean and comfortable with nice furnishings. A little noisy due to street traffic and sirens. Staff were always pleasant and helpful.

Stayed here after getting sick on our cruise (a cold and bronchitis) but enjoyed the stay greatly. Great views of Vancouver since the hospital is next to you and is not very high. Close to Davie street is a plus. Some items are worn but the bed was good and can I mention the staff again. First rate.

We stayed on the 25th floor. There was an air conditioning unit in the living room, but the bedroom was quite hot during the night. Everything was clean, and it was great having a full kitchen. Our 4 year old stayed on the pull out couch, but I would not recommend an adult sleeping on the pull out couch. This...

My regards to the staff who set the rooms apart from good work, they were very educated women and they answered all my requests. My compliments also to the porters who gave me good directions and helped to get a taxi. I advise the staff to check in and check out more calmly when talking to guests, especially speaking English...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
