The hotel was great. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean. Location is excellent. The only problem was that they had a wedding one night and had a dance party with loud music until midnight. Hotels and loud indoor dance parties do not mix....More

Hi There, The GI Hotel is a perfect place for seniors due to the easy walking! The island is perfectly flat and it is a 5-10 minute walk to the market.. There is also lots of nice benches, good people, wildlife, and boats to watch making it a perfect fit. If you Mum tires, we do have a wheel chair available which you can borrow... just depends if she is ok with that idea! We also have shower chairs available if that will make your Mum's stay a little easier as well. Please let me know if I can help!

Yes you can walk from the hotel to downtown. It would be about a 30 minute walk or if you take the little water taxi from the market you can reach many points of downtown in about 10 minutes.
