The location of the hotel is right downtown, and it is great for someone who wants to visit Vancouver. The hotel is also very close to car rental shops (such as Herts), restaurants and shops. It has a private parking, but you need to reserve on time because space is limited. People at the reception are particularly rude and unhelpful....

We had stayed in this downtown hotel several times, great location, simple and clean, easy access to anywhere in the city, close to great restaurants, shops and venues, centrally located on Granville entertainment district. Rooms are clean and tidy, Lucia the general manager and her front desk team are fantastic! Offering great services, very helpful and always happy to give...

Easy check in and check out, pleasant people working at the front desk. Room was small, but super clean. Parking cost $ 22 but it was worth it. Relatively quiet, they are in downtown after all, so can not expect the same noise level as at home in suburbs. Overall great experience, will be back again.

The key cards they give you to unlock your room are extremely sensitive to metal, cellphone airwaves and who knows what else. Four out of five times, I would come back to the hotel to find that my keycard no longer worked and needed to be re-magnetized. This isn't a big deal since the reception staff will happily reset your...

It is an average hotel that was in a perfect location for what I was doing. I did a concert, a CFL game, & an NHL game on back to back to back nights. The HoJo on Granville St was a 5 minute walk from the concert venue, & 15 minutes from the arena & stadium. There are decent places...

Stayed for one night on a Thursday. The place is what you expect for the cheap price - simple, maybe slightly dated but if you just want a room for the night it's fine. We had a room at the front on Granville st and neither of us noticed any particular noise. Staff were all friendly and accommodating and gave...

Front desk staff are not very friendly. Other than that, the room is central to nightlife. I stayed at this hotel while in town for a concert. We wanted to be able to go out after and walk home. We were able to walk around everywhere, the Art Gallery, Rogers Arena, the clubs, great location, if that is what you...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
