We stayed for a couple of nights while attending the wine festival. Our suite was on the tenth floor with a nice eating area, good size living area. Bedroom had a comfortable king bed, TV, desk and ample room to move around. Bathroom was centrally located between the living area and bedroom. The hotel was quiet both within the hotel...

We were very happy with our choice of Auberge for an overnight stay in Vancouver. We were welcomed warmly and were able to check our bags early and do some touring before check in. Waterfront Station is a five minute walk. Canada Place is across the street, Starbucks on the corner. When we returned and checked in we were pleasantly...

Stayed 3 nights, of which 2 were for business. Our group rate was $160 which made this a very decent option for downtown Vancouver (Anything over $230, I would say "meh", go elsewhere!) Check in was a bit unfriendly. It was a quiet Sunday but staff were blasé and reticent to explain the rate when I asked for clarification. Nor...

Dear McMarshal, Thank you for writing a very comprehensive review of your experience at The Auberge. As you mentioned in your comments, we are not equipped to provide room service; however, there is an extensive menu for the Lions Pub (which is the restaurant in the building) in your suite so takeout meals for lunch and dinner can be ordered...

My wife and I stayed here prior to Alaskan cruise embarkation. The rooms were clean, comfortable and updated. Overall, a very nice hotel with friendly service and an upscale feel. We felt like we got what we paid for and would definitely stay here again.

Great location walking distance to basically everything downtown. Close to the train station so easy access from the airport which was ideal for us not having a car. Nice clean rooms, spacious and the heating was good. Staff were nice and friendly. Hotel facilities such as pool and gym are connected to the city club next door so if this...

My husband and I stayed at the Auberge for four nights in December to visit friends and explore the downtown core. Though this was not our first time visiting Vancouver, it was our first time staying at the Auberge. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and found Reception to be helpful throughout our stay. Our room had a fantastic view...

This hotel is part of a complex with a residential component, offices, the "Terminal City Club" and hotel rooms on floors 8 through 12. Our bedroom and bathroom, for the price and convenience of the location were clean, comfortable and good. The staff, particularly housekeeping, were excellent. There is also on-site parking and I recommend that you get a pass...

Nice less expensive option with little sacrifice close to everything in Coal Harbour, Canada Place, Gastown & Downtown. Please just remind the maid to not leave her Walkie talkie blasting in her cart in front of guests doors at 800am please.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
